🐾 Planet Zoo: Africa Pack arriving 22 June 🐾

I want to mention the new fence we see in the pack seems to be a standard barrier and not a build piece because there is a gate in the style of the fence in once of the videos or images for the pack. Can I just say that I’m so excited to have a new barrier type like that. I’ve been wishing for a barrier in that style for larger animals like elephants or rhinos ( only fitting they add it now) for a while. I’ve been using electric fences and building them up to look robust or building them myself but I appreciate these more. I personally love how they’re stylized too

The door of the habitat in the trailer just looks like an invisible fence door with wood decorations, I think

Pretty sure it's custom. I think the habitat gate is the invisible one, and everything around it was placed. There's a shot in the teaser trailer that has those triangular stones on their own. Also, the branches the connect them in the "fence" are base game I think.

Ah ok thanks for clarifying, atleast it’s easier to create barriers in that style

I think the lighting in the PZ shot might be working against it a bit. It does look like there are some variations in color irl, with some darker and some very, very light. I do hope that they included lighter variations, if not, this will need to be addressed in a patch. For now though, I won't pass judgement on that since we don't know for sure.

My other points would maybe be to add a bit more pink and a bit more white tones to the ears. Tail is a bit too fluffy, but with the fur shader I'm not sure how feasible it is to get it a bit skinnier. Will be more interested in seeing how the tail actually moves.

Overall, pretty good. Very pleased with the eyes this time around too. Seems like the binturong remake showed them how make nocturnal eyes now.

Great balls of dung. Although, I was hoping they were the colorful scarabs (there are such thing, right?)

Anyways, not gonna complain (chameleon or snake would've been good), but you know, I think these will be really cool to house and we only have 3 beetles (including these) while we have like 7 snakes

Knew there was something wrong about the Head. It has these weird big Baby Cheeks even though the real Face is way more slender. Eyes are also a little bit too big. Ears could also be a little bit further apart but maybe that with the Ears is just because of the Angle.
I wish they wouldn't feel the Need to stylize Animals. Really hope for brighter Variations too. The one in the second real Picture looks so nice

Hayo Zookeepers!

We've been digging around searching for our next location to visit in Planet Zoo, and may have found a few favourites to bring to the roster along the way! This is a mighty continent that we are very excited to make the next stop on our journey together.

We're very excited to announce the Planet Zoo: Africa Pack, available to purchase and download alongside free Update 1.6 on 22 June, 2021!

Are you ready to hear which animals you will get to meet in this pack? Get ready to welcome the sociable Meerkat, endearing Fennec Fox, amazing African Penguin, striking Southern White Rhinoceros and the remarkable Sacred Scarab Beetle to your Zoo! Each of these unique creatures will present you with a different challenge to look after them, from swimming with the African Penguin to space fit for a Southern White Rhinoceros and a new behaviour introduced by the Meerkat; digging! With new arrivals come new challenges, and we can't wait to see what kind of habitats you create to meet their needs. Don't forget to use the knowledge from the Zoopedia to help you out!

You'll also be able to take on a brand new Timed Scenario set in a stunning Oasis. With limited power and infrastructure, it will be your job to turn this Oasis into a paradise for guests and animals alike. Do you think you've got what it takes to make this zoo into a success? We certainly do! You've got this zookeepers!

As promised for all the builders out there, this pack will contain just over 180 incredible African themed scenery pieces, including some pieces in the iconic African 'Moorish' architectural style! You'll find whole buildings, new paths and more to play with (like this amazing statue below!) and build your dream new habitat's for these new African animals.

Planet Zoo: Africa Pack will be available for purchase for Ā£7.99 ($9.99, 9.99€) on Steam from 22 June. Want to be notified when the game is available? You can head over to Steam to wishlist it right now! Please remember that you'll need to own the base game of Planet Zoo to be able to enjoy the Planet Zoo: Africa Pack.

Which of the animals is your favourite? Will you get to know the Meerkats first or check out the remarkable Sacred Scarab Beetle exhibit? Don't forget to head over to Twitter to vote on which one we'll showcase first!
Will the meerkats be compatible with warthogs? Because take a look at this:

I think the cheeks looking a bit big is probably just the camera angle more than the model. I think mostly it’s pretty much spot-on - maybe the tail’s a bit too fluffy but otherwise couldn’t be much better

edit:
Here is the picture with the nearest angle I could find in a quick search (they don’t seem to look upwards very often!). Like the Frontier model, the cheeks look big

Just looked at the Steam Pictures again. Might really be because of the Angle but I'm not completely sure

I think all animals looks pretty great but I’m really extremely hyped for the scenario map and all of the building pieces 🤩

The penguins look great!!! It seems they have grassland based on the elephant grass but I really hope they have desert too for the aesthetics or desert beaches lol

A Wonder no one showed it yet.
Now I know why. Just links to login this Time for some Reason šŸ˜‘
