Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

i'm saying that as hypotheticals for this thread. phrases im pretty sure you have never uttered.

Umm.. ok. I'm confused.

Anyway, back to what else is going on in the land of SC.

Box carrying gameplay is fun!

But... disaster struck!

Q&W with another good example of CR basically saying one thing then doing another.

8 years later, still no exploration mechanics. Still only 1 system.

I think so too, from certain angles... it is very different but I like the MSR about the same as I did my Python :)

That's a nice screenshot :)

Went there this afternoon looking for screenshots but couldn't resist throwing my weight around the hills :D

She is a good boat, a joy to fly but she is not a canyon runner, she is a bit girthy for for it, near as wide as she is long, so about 50m.
And while she glides and turns beautifully for her size she is still a whale, all be it a powerful one with wings, turn her too hard and she stalls, like she did with me and i almost lost control of her.

Inevitably i slimmed her down, deliberately, honest, and it was not at all the reason for using after burners after her wieght watchers session. she just needs a bit more push getting out of turns, you know?

I love this ship, but #### she is fat!

BoredGamer interviews a 100k whale. He started backing in 2017.

He asks challenging questions like "does he feel scammed", to which the answer, amazingly enough, is "No". Who would have thought?!

"100,000 is not a significant amount of money". He has family members who have spent 5000 dollars on a single hand of blackjack.

Guy has multiple 890Js.

Now think how many people around the world are funding SC the same. Lots of people around the world with plenty of money.

Is it any wonder that CIG can pull in millions per month based on nothing more than fairy dust and dreams?

You broke it

It also flies a lot different using a HOTAS...I don't notice the big shippy feel so much, certainly not after canyon running in a Caterpillar :D

Moving boxes in SC is a bit like moving passengers around in ED, its a bit pointless but its also a way to explore.
Ok... you just destroyed my brain. Moving boxes is now considered exploration gameplay?

You know they got all those boxes from a single location right?

Basically exit ship, grab box, walk to ship, drop box... rinse and repeat for, according to those involved, hours.

I mean, i'm ready to blow my brains out doing Robigo runs for an hour, but hey, at least its super profitable and i can also get a load of engineering materials. Better still, do passenger missions in the bubble to various destinations, adds a bit of variety there.

But this was pure A to B box carrying.

Box missions take you a lot of locations on different moons is what Intrepid means...gets you around the system to places you might not otherwise go. Nobody explores the moons...unless you can call hanging around Olisar or a planetary outpost waiting to gank someone exploring :D

I get around a bit on the moons either ROC mining or in the Prospector but it's a dying artform these days...too many pew-crew who see nothing outside of a gunsight

Its multiple boxes from multiple locations or multiple boxed to multiple locations.

As in ED its a reason to go somewhere you might not otherwise go, those MSR on early dawn Hurston sreenshots i put up earlier, i was delivering boxes, that's the only reason i was there to see that.
