Can you tell us if Smear Campaigns are in game yet? Anyone find one with the update?

Armor piercing values looks low too.
I had one of the red dropships bugging over High CZ after we won. It took me 2 executioners' full loads + half tormentor's load (dominator with extended ammo capacity) to take it down. ...Ah, yes the 11 NPCs on my side constantly shooting at it too.

On the other hand, i used the full load of a G5 L6 (11 rockets) plus almost the entire ammo of my G5 Tormentor to drop the shields of my DBX, that means 932MJ with 4 pips in shields... that should be more than 2000 mj before resists.

So basically, the NPCs were given cheat ships
I do not thing so. Probably the piercing value of handheld weapons is low.

Shields have rather high Explosive damage resistance - Aphelion/Eclipse and Plasma would do much better against shields.

Sure, do.
But a G5 L6 does like 110 dmg (or more). Even with 60% reduction, it is still more than the damage done by a G5 Tormentor

Zac said that the planned rework of data ports' drops and adjustments to SCP are targeted to patch 5 (I think it was on last supercruise news)
Well, yeah, then again the patch notes for Patch 3 said they'd fixed the wording for the Terra unlock, and yet it's still broken ...

Edit: And that's ignoring the whole 'yeah, the final build is optimised' debacle that is EDO :ROFLMAO:

The sad thing about this missing engineer unlock is that I probably don't care now - I've tried out Quieter Footsteps, and I don't use an Executioner for stealth kills any more - they just take too long. You don't need noise suppression once you start running up to the NPCs and killing them with an Oppressor etc. So all that's left is the Pokemon "gotta catch them all" reason... ah well.

I tested this by hammering a stock sidey and a stock DBX with a maxed L-6. As far as I can tell the AP value is 10.

Meaning that no matter how scary the shield damage is against people running paper builds, even a lightweight asp has more hull HP than an L-6 has rockets.

The 3 times I got murdalized by scavengers while trying to fly away in a DBX with fully upgraded heavy duty/deep plating G5 armor finds this argument unconvincing ;)

Y'know what? I think the same way, and after testing QF I have to say that if anyone is anticipating the engineer unlock because they think QF and AM is gonna OP their world is going to be terribly terribly disappointed.

I think the community writ large here (at least this is my own feeling, I could be completely wrong) have already simply decided that, absent evidence to the contrary, the CMs had to fib to cover someone else's derrière. But regardless of whether this is the case or not, the outcome is the same, we aint gonna unlock the last engineer until at earliest (emphasis: at earliest, not at latest) after patch 5, which we know is possibly/probably/maybe/tentatively going to be next week.

Same here, mostly... but i do have a Dominator with QF and a Maverick (G3 atm) also with QF. And i really appreciate it since it allows me to avoid the potential enemies but also the peeking friendlies...
Nothing more annoying than to agro a guard (and the entire settlement) because you somehow missed the "I have to scan you commander". With QF they usually simply do not notice me.

It's not worthless for sure (not like enhanced tracking), not saying that. But other than for minor QoL it's not going to help you do missions you wouldn't otherwise have been able to already.

Plus, I simply can't live without sprint, so if I have a QF suit for minor settlement-side lounging, it has to have sprint on it as well, at least for me. And unless I find one with it pre-built in, I can't muster the enthusiasm to go farm mats just to make a lounge suit :)

Edit: this is coming from someone who ground out 3 G5 suits (Dom/Mav/Art) and 4 G5 weapons, and maxed out all the mods on them, and ground Merc to Elite already. So I have at least some standing to say I'm not afraid of a grind ;)
