I don't know how people at FD drive their car at night, but personally, when it's dark outside, I like it when it's ALSO DARK INSIDE. WTF FD?! What's next? Xmas lights in the cockpit? Wait, no, please don't answer that one.
Seriously, what's wrong with people. Do they really want increased lighting so they can stare more at the fake plastic texture of their inner cockpit? And ok, fair enough, I'm not here to kink shame and will acknowledge that PVC can be... but why is Lord Brebus listening to these people and not me?!
