specifically the patches we have had for EDO are because it was so borked at launch, so much so they have given up implementing nice new things... and it is back to being more broken than ever, I have been pretty patient with this game as it is quite dear to me, but seriously, something needs to happen to return our faith and trust
Things break after updates because there's so many changes and fixes. The more you change in code, the more can break. So after big patches like this just give them a day to sort out all the stuff. Code is like that. :)

@sallymorganmoore The gamma still seems to be way off. This is best visible in the actual gamma settings.

See the 2 images. As per the text in the settings, the leftmost image is only visible when I crank it up to the max. The other image shows at which level it completely disappears.

Surely, this is incorrect?

Do you have a HDR capable monitor connected with HDMI?

Well, it shouldn't be if done properly. Plenty of (indie) games with big updates that don't experience these kind of issues.

I noted the gamma fix for UI elements, but I guess the dust etc doesn't appear unless you keep gamma cranked up as per the previous version?

That screenshot shows the image on the left super bright. Way, way too bright.

After this fifth update my FPS are dropping below 20 again in stations, just like in the first release.

I can understand the struggle devs are going through and I always tried to support the project no matter what...but seriously...I am getting the feeling that no one really knows what's going on here.

Still not thinking about refund, but I guess I'll go back to Horizons and wait for next year.

FPS on planets is still bad when you look down.
It's amazing, isn't it? Any game I can think of has better performances when you're looking down because there are very few things to render. ED is somehow different (and that's not just Odyssey, Horizons was like that too).
