Hah, now I've figure out how to post screenshots (they need to be small!) here's a little z-fighting on a coriolis concourse (same one as is currently floating in space). 'Holo' image in centre of shot is actually placed behind the screen that supposed to be projecting it. Ignore the guy whose feet are sunk through the geometry (left of shot) there's farrrrr better examples of that crud.

My laptop (GTX 950M) doesn’t need anything like that power in the gamma, so maybe not a universal issue.

I'm pretty sure Elite is brutally complex.
Not sure if it's possible to do any better in that short amount of time. It's actually pretty impressive that they worked on so many different things simultaneously from home without exploding the whole build.

also no kill counter for raid missions and enemies that never seem to stop respawning... so think that also makes the mission impossible to finish. I am rage quitting for a week, just royally f'd my rep in my home system and will have to grind it back up.

There are 3 images. Usually "the left image" doesn't mean "the middle one", but "the left-most one".
Is it referring to the middle image in this case? That would be bizarre? What's the left-most image then for?

That would depend on the monitor. That's why there's a slider in the first place.
I'm reading this on a Galaxy S9 with the brightness slider at 75%, and the leftmost wings in that one are just baaaarely visible.
I don't believe you are. You're saying that if I buy a new car for £10k and it doesn't work then the company has to pay me £250K which is pure nonsense. The car industry would be immediately beset by people buying cars and breaking them to collect their quarter mill, the car industry and the insurance industry would collapse within weeks and all bets would be off.
If you're going to make stuff up then at least try to make it feasible.
