Yeap, same here.
In Horizons i keep the gamma slider on 50% and it's ok
In EDO the left most gama indicator is starting to get barely discernible at around 85% and only at 100% it's starting to get visible.
And with the slider to 100% the starting menu screed with the ship in the hangar, is visibly too bright.


which is sounding a bit like the HDR issues that i thought they fixed a couple patches back.

i haven't been able to test patch 5 yet, but i was able to move my slider back to center around patch 3. prior to patch 3 i had to max it out and it did the whole white washing effects to bright things and the dark things were still too dark.

wonder if that behavior is back in patch 5 for many (all) people who either do or dont have setups that support hdr.
 
Happy to confirm the DSS bug no longer exists for me in VR. :) Performance still bad planetside, but I haven't had a chance to play with any settings there yet.
 
It is an IPS and calibrated with the Windows 10 calibration tool. No issues with any other software, latest drivers etc. Looks the same on my other monitor (LCD, but also calibrated).

I'll try deleting the override XML file, maybe this will reset things. I have some custom stuff there, but nothing that would affect gamma (just higher texture resolution and HUD colours etc.).

I'll report back.
Good luck! Its weird how multiple people report this gamma issue...

Hello! So yes, we've tackled the issues with Mercenary ranking (the time we did feels like it's rolled...somewhere into another time), so when you're able would you mind letting me know if all's well for you personally please? Thanks!

Thank you to the team for fixing the starport landing page! However it's still broken. If you repair then press down/S it skips to launch, if you restock ammo and press down/S it skips to disembark.

VR DSS anyone? As has been pointed out several times, exploring in VR is completely broken without DSS. Was it just missed off the fix list, or is it being completely ignored?

Apparently still waiting for Iridium Gleam too. What fun!
VR DSS is so broken it's not fun and barely even useable.
Also: VR ship vanity freecam is still completely non-functional right? Why buy Arx for paint jobs if we can't see our ships? I've stopped buy items (hear that, stockholders?) until then.

My setup didn't changed between EDO launch and Patch 5.
And it doesnt change between Horizons and EDO
 
Is it just me or does everything/textures appear much sharper? No complains here on that.
Was hoping the new shipyard UI would had made it in to this update to show us the loadout,ah well :)

performance is effectively alot worse now in settlements when doing ground gameplay. Lighting looks bad, and you cant walk 5 steps without the game hanging or staggering. its actually borderline unplayable atm while it was fine for me before.

If this isnt hotfixed im probably done with ED for now, cant help my squadron with bgs doing ground stuff (because of the poor bgs implemented in everything oddyssey) and now i cant even do ground stuff at all, because unplayable.

Its FidelityFX CAS, which is now an option and on by default. You can increase/decrease the sharpness with a slider.
 
Now mission boards will have a maximum of one mission of each type going to any single settlement.
Might want to revisit that one. I just got offered two "Turn on power at..." missions to the same target settlement. The mission requirements were identical; the only difference between them was the reward being offered.
