Yes single clicks are sometimes double clicks resulting in a mission hand in as cash only and losing the mats reward. Very annoying.
But this was when laggy and I suggest using foot only menu to hand in foot missions in concorse

I see many players complaining about the FPS drop and stutter on settlements.

I had that issue to. But I switched of the AMDFidelity CAS thingamajik on the graphics options and it reverted to the old performance.

If you using an Nvidia card, do it now!

AMDFidelity CAS works nicely on my GTX1660TI laptop
 
Lots of fantastic changes here, well done and keep up the good work.

whereas previously I had no frame rate issues, I am no noticing that on planet FPS can drop to below 28 FPS. It seems intermittent but not noticed this before the update.

My specs should handle it fine;

RTX 2080Ti
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
48gig RAM

I'll keep testing a raise a ticket, however, wanted to flag as it was fine before, not fantastic but I never dropped below 35FPS.
 
OK how does it work.

I used to have supersampling at 1.0

So now if I switch on the AMD CAS, what should I be setting the supersampler at?

Trying some options now.

I'd start with .75 and see how it looks / performs. for best performance, you lower it as much as you can while the rendered game looks equivilant to what it was before being enabled and adjusting the supersampling.

it's going to be trial / error since some people will care/notice about what they see more than others.
 
Has anyone else had this issue since this patch. Commited a failure to stop for a scan and got a 500 credit fine. Got killed so paid the fine on the way to the detention ship. Then apex back to my main ship. then fly to a new port in the same system I am anonymous with a 500cr fine again. I log to the main menu and come back and all is fine again.
 
What headset do you have? I didn't see the orbit lines until I got the G2, but I definitely see them now as I use those to find the planets (I follow the main system plane). Assuming they are the lines you mean. :)
Valve index. I see the orbit lines in the first layer of FSS but not when you go deeper, like you zoom in to a gas giant and there are no orbit lines for its moons which apparently you do get in non VR mode.
 
FPS still hasn't improved, game barely playable. when will this be fixed?

FPS has improved for many (and seemingly gotten worse for some too) but this isn't supposed to be the release that magically fixes all performance issues. See yesterday's dev update:

  • Pathways have also been identified with performance and the team are actively working on this area.
In short: they know, they think they've got a handle on what's causing it and they're working on it, but there's no ETA yet
 
I noticed a lower framerate too, which was already quite low to begin with since I'm playing below minimum specs.

However, it also affects supercruise, where I could get between 50 and 60 FPS even with 1x supersampling with the previous update, but between 40 and 50 with 0.75x supersampling with the new update.

It seems to drop based on the direction I'm looking at, but regardless of whether there's something or not in that direction, so it could be the new lightning that somehow is more expensive when the sun is behind the ship, or something like that.

Anyway if we consider the fact that this patch's optimizations aren't supposed to affect performances outside of settlements and stations, there definitely seems to be something wrong here.

- Cockpit - Changed default focus of Nav Panel to first location in the list.


This would have been a very, very welome fix, if only it worked. I've been wanting this sorted for a year now.
Sadly, after a hyper jump, looking on the Nav Panel does not focus to the top item on the list. :(

A LOT worse sometime (I've never seen a one digit framerate on my 3070 before :rolleyes:)
Probably due to a station design (Kryyst Analysis Lab, Epsilon hydri 6a)
The weird part is that neither the GPU not the CPU where forcing (around 17% for the CPU and 30% for the GPU)
Ultra with 'AMD FX whatever' disabled (normal) then EDO relaunched from the desktop.
Also many many crashes to the desktop...
Never had this many problems with update 4.
Hoping for a hotfix soon :oops:

Cannot aim down sights with plasma shotgun anymore, don't see anything regarding that on the post above, and it seems to be the only weapon behaving this way. is this intended?

I just cleaned the scavs at an abandoned settlement (9) plus reinforcements (6) using only the Plasma Shotgun.
No issues here (i do have it fully modded, scope included)
 
Hello! So yes, we've tackled the issues with Mercenary ranking (the time we did feels like it's rolled...somewhere into another time), so when you're able would you mind letting me know if all's well for you personally please? Thanks!

Still seems that taking out folks outside of CZs makes little difference, perhaps because the bounties are set very low?
