Latest stream has more dislikes than likes... FD are you listening?

At time of posting the latest live stream has more dislikes than likes... And even slightly negative comments were being censored, meanwhile, the game is broken in many ways worse than ever.
hardly any time was given to the server "update" which ironically included a fix for putting out fires... But mostly we just got MORE screenshot filler and CM's messing about with fa off,
please devote at least one stream a week with developer's present to answer our questions not DELETE them.

You actually have to touch a keyboard to have anything to report! You actually have to go to to developer conferences to keep edgy with new tech, you actually have have vision of how and where to utilize it....the gig is up!

The game was a mess from the beginning....it was a vision, then we gave Hope's and dreams of completion. Little did we know the only thing they have developed is vague roadmaps....call me crazy but I think we've been catfished

While I don't usually waste my time with this errr, time wasting, it sounds like these live streams have become even more futile in their attempt to convince anyone that all is well (if that is possible?). Perhaps they have got so bad that they are now into the realm of being entertainingly bad? AKA Chinese State television bad...

Thanks for the link... I may dip in to sample just how bad it's now got...
I don't know how bad things got inside Frontier Elite team, but it could be their jobs are on the line, since they have so many CM's, but the damage control they have done since release of Odyssey is minimal, if you judge it based on results:

Of course this is just small sample of playerbase, the real numbers could go either way, but doubtful it's different than this by much.

Oh darn, stop forcing me to play everyday for that picture :D I need to work some and some tv-shows, covid times are over. But I promise to play Elite only :D
Problem is, new Odessey is so amazing so I can't boring view 2nd screen with TV now. I want to see the game. So have to use for tv separated time.

I'd be lying if I said yes, or no...or even possibly! My school german isn't that advanced if I am honest, so I will say yes, under your advisement! ;)

I do apologise for pooping on your language!
No problem. We do the same.
You could say:
Is do Graffl zum hobn?
Meaning is there stuffz to be hazed.
Yeah it scratches on german. But even in Vienna they have a hard time understanding us.

That implies we left the Good Times in the first place.

I think we had more of an intermission in the drought. Just long enough to refill the popcorn and add more salt to make up for how sticky this situation is getting.
Does more salt on the popcorn reduce the degree of stickiness?

Asking for a friend... (I like sweet popcorn).

I was there, but missed to leave a statement. Next time, if the content is still too shallow. I have no use in pictures of systems that look like an egg on a plate.
All we want is a dev telling us something about the work in progress. Why not? It will not be worse than this.

...those all infinite topics and dislikes looks like u're trying to "cancel" fdevs.
Bad-bad idea. You told them about bugs, made reports, stop to push already.

I think Frontier are listening but it's us, the community that are not listening.

There's only several ways one (Frontier) can say "We're aware of the issues, especially the performance problem and we're working hard on them. Once we have news we're let you know."

We may not like that answer and it obviously isn't the answer we want to hear but it is the current state of play.

Us asking them what's the latest on the performance issue or what are you doing to solve every it 5 minutes reminds of those really annoying managers at work who don't realise that some things take time to come up with an answer and therefore a solution.

I recently had to solve a major problem at work which everyone (or at least the annoying managers) thought it could be solved in 5 minutes but in reality it took me a week of hard work to track down the underlying cause and come up with a solution. It was just one of those tricky problems where it wasn't obvious at what was causing the problem. The cause was deeply buried.

I believe the performance issue many of us are experiencing is one of those tricky problems without an obvious cause. More likely there are several factors contributing to the bad performance and it will take weeks or possibly months to completely resolve.

I also think that it's not a great idea for Frontier to sit down and think about what to do next until the performance issue and other issues are resolved. It it possible that they have discovered that the current technology - their Cobra engine - has reached it's limits and to advance Elite further they need to do a lot of work on the engine first. So they might have decided to wait until the peformance issue is resolved and they have a better understanding on what can be achieved.

Yes, they could say to us "We would like to do this <feature>" but if they then discover it's not possible without a lot of work and money, and then decide not to ahead with it then they have to face the community shouting at them "BUT YOU PROMISED, YOU LIED AGAIN!!!".

So they are stuck between a rock and hard place - telling us what they want to do and then encountering our anger when they have to change their plans OR not telling us what they want to do until they are certain it's possible and encountering our anger over them not telling us anything.

We, the community need to stand back and give them some breathing space. Let Frontier get on with working on the issues. Stop being one of those annoying managers that are hounding the workers every 5 minutes for an update.

Sorry for this long post, and many will probably disagree with what I've said, but it's something I feel strongly about because I do suffer from annoying managers at work sometimes and it doesn't help anyone.

Ok, back to lurking and enjoying Elite: Odyssey.

.
You are looking at it from Developers point of view: " Give us time we can fix everything ( probably) "
From a Customer point of view: " You released a product and now demand time to fix it? " - " Refund Please ".

Odyssey has had several years of development, all without any pressure or involvement from the community...

They released it on the assurance that it was a finished product...

The current anger is well, justified.

Given that EDs low point was April 2016 (5,300 users) EDO still has about 3,000 to drop before becoming a new low record...
