Doesn't matter terribly how weak your search-fu is, because tracker-search is broken. It may or may not give results even with exact search terms.Do you have a tracker link for them? My tracker-search-fu is weak, but i'll certainly add a "same here" confirmation to it.
Ok, I found this. I’m sorry you can’t give more information on communication/roadmap/plans etc, as clearLy it’s a massive source of frustration for many of us not knowing what plans there are over the next few months/year or so. But I really appreciate the presence of the CMs on the forums, it helps to have someone responding. ThanksI'll save you the time looking at it, Black Ice, because like any of those questions, I wont ever be able to answer them in simple forum replies in a thread I'm afraid.
I can only keep on saying that we're working ultra hard still to get you the next wave of information which will come in the form of a proper, dedicated way of communicatingI really will never answer such golden questions in casual replies to things in threads.
went on an ground mission (Phi eridani /rudenko) as is landed tzhe game went stuttering. FPS drops to <5 ! And this with graphics setting all at lowest possible! My 1060 3GB should not be so bad with odyssey ant my system is at good health. All i recognised was there were a lot of rocks in vicinity of rudenko ground base.... Useless to say this bugs did not occur with update 4, with update 5 now it is horrible...
I am playing Elite since Release and i have to say i was never so close to quit it and hit the uninstall button
PS: Strange bug that occured as i played on ground: the strafe left button "A" was assigned and totally disfunctional now back on sudworth orbital it works normally
You are not the only one.. The only small silver lining we have is that we know there is immense pressure on the company to sort this which although uncomfortable will mean that they are probably as focused as they've ever been in trying to fix the game so as soon as they have an answer we will know. It's sad that it got to this point though because it feels from an outsider that Elite was allowed to wither into such a state and that it needed heavier investment in time and resources to even make it work. If the investment had happened earlier perhaps this mess wouldn't have occured.HI there, I know this has been asked many times ... But any idea as to when the Elite will be able to be playable for people within Minimum to Recommended Specs? It has been almost 8 weeks since release and there doesn't seem to have been any improvement or updates on such topic, and anything we do get is just "we are working on it".
It's still in an unplayable state for myself (nauseous and broken AA, sub 20fps, texture and model breakdowns) and the risk to components being damaged is high. From what I understand that most people within the specifications is still unable to play Elite.
I have reported, raised and holla'd all I can. But hoenstly, i'm not a beta tester, I don't know what you guys need beyond what I have already given.
I am a bit sad.
You have to get 9 other cmdrs to agree with you and confirm it. So once an issue has 10 different cmdrs that have encountered it and said so on the issue tracker it moves to confirmed and can be voted on.@sallymorganmoore
Can you tell me when an update is coming which adresses the problems with settlements
where you have no container with the number you need for finishing your collecting mission?
There are a lot of tickets in issuetracker about these problems. Status is always unconfirmed.
I added a comment to issues after every new update 2,3,4,5. What to I have to do to get into state confirmed to get this fixed?
Your sadness is understandable, but honestly all they need is time. Fixing the performance woes clearly isn't a simple thing to do or else they'd have done it already and saved everyone (themselves included) a tonne of grief. The latest update I saw said "the team are actively working on this area", and I think Sally mentioned that they currnetly have a dev team dedicated to working on the performance issues.HI there, I know this has been asked many times ... Is it a container or a locker ? Maybe it's not accessible somehow (behind restricted area) ?@sallymorganmoore

Suggest at the very least adding your issue tracker link so anyone reading your comment (including Sally) can help get you confirmed.
It is a container. Not showed on terminal even if you have level 3 (scanned from npc)Is it a container or a locker ? Maybe it's not accessible somehow (behind restricted area) ?
If not, It's definitely an issue.
In the meantime try relogging, it helps (sometime, to get another locker/container for the mission)...
(edited for precision)
Thank you, I did not know you must have 10 different commanders. You have to get 9 other cmdrs to agree with you and confirm it. So once an issue has 10 different cmdrs that have encountered it and said so on the issue tracker it moves to confirmed and can be voted on.

I really like your suggestions!!I've been thinking about it over lunch, and I've concluded that the missing restore missions are such a big issue because they were covering a wider problem.
(Bear with me here.)
This does not cover exobiology, as that doesn't really involve settlements, which is where the major flaw is.
The big problem is that, with all the work that was put into making the Odyssey settlements - and don't get me wrong, in themselves they're great - a corresponding amount of effort was not put into giving Commanders things to do in them.
Fly to a functional settlement and what can you do when you get there? You can shoot people and steal things, and that's it. Naturally the missions available for such content reflect that, so there is a paucity of non-shooty, non-stealy missions.
It's even reflected in the new rank tracks. Mercenary is roughly equivalent to on foot Combat, and Exobiology to on foot Exploration. There is no on foot equivalent to Trade rank, because there are no activities to raise it for the Commanders who don't steal and murder their way across the galaxy.
When I fly to an Industrial settlement where's my option to do some work there? To trade for machine parts (rather than buy them off a bartender, of all people)? To recycle degraded power regulators for working ones? To take a job to fix a broken SRV or ship parked at the base, even if only by replacing the regulator?
When I fly to an agricultural base where's my chance to use the lab on all that exobiology data I've been collecting? What about a mission to contain a contamination event (in a similar way to putting out fires)?
How about going to a military base and taking a job as patrolling security (in fact this would work for any settlement)? If you're unlucky you could have to fight off waves of pirate NPCs. Buy weapons? Have a test firing range? There must be all sorts of military possibilities.
Why can't I go to a Tourism settlement and book a room, or buy drinks off a bartender? Why can't I deliver more drinks? Why can't I have a job to deliver something to a guest there, or do other recreational things? Why are none of those endless wedding parties in Boom systems ever in the tourist bases?
More generally, why is there so little interaction between ship based gameplay and settlements? Where are the jobs to deliver supplies to settlements, or take away their produce? Where are the missions to deliver tourists to tourist bases, engineering parts to industrial, etcetera.
Now that Odyssey is in there is, so far, a noticeable lack of use of the possibilities, especially for players who aren't murderous thieves. It's not very "play it your way" as it is. I hope there are plans to address this.
I like your suggestions too.I've been thinking about it over lunch, and I've concluded that the missing restore missions are such a big issue because they were covering a wider problem.

Indeed, as basically many of the underlying systems for these suggestions to exist are basically already in place.I really like your suggestions!!![]()
At the moment, the only thing I can do is buy commodities from settlements and deliver them to starports. It'd make sense if there were missions for these.I've been thinking about it over lunch, and I've concluded that the missing restore missions are such a big issue because they were covering a wider problem.
