I am a patient...Yep. I think the CMs and FD are finally finding out what happens when patience runs out.

Cubic Centimeter?Casual Camel?
Crunchy Cereal?
Creased Celery?
But i think we should take in to account that leaping from Space Ship/SRV on to foot gameplay- is a gigantic step in a game that was all about Space Ships/SRV before. That presumes that someone at the company still wants E: D to continue, and has the power to make that happen. That was always the hope when they released Planet Coaster, and then JWE, that they would "prop up" E: D. Maybe they have been doing. But there's no evidence from Frontier that if that even happened, it's going to continue.
As I've pointed out earlier, Odyssey's release is not Frontier's first or only faux pas. There's an ongoing pattern here going back since 2014 that it's impossible to ignore if you're objective about it.
I laugh at the comment the death of elite its been called for years yet here I am mining low temp diamonds and laughing
sorry but I have much better things to do than listen to youBelieve what you will, until the servers are turned off (for the record, I don't think that will happen for a good while after they stop developing the game), and you can no longer play because they were untruthful about offline mode.![]()
Would you be generous enough to point me to where this statement was made - I missed that one!FDev have stated they have no future vision for the game

This is one time one should remain a bit patient. Look at Horizon, people were mentioning how messy of a launch it was, but they managed to pull it through at the end.

Future Progress: The Longer Roadmap
As mentioned in our previous post, our aim was to focus on the initial set of updates and then turn our attention back onto console. There’s no doubt that the additional development work on these updates and community requests pose a challenge on our previous plans and timelines. We are actively investigating, reviewing, and remeasuring the further roadmap but these things will take a little time. We understand that this may not be as much information as people may have wished for, but we hope that the open and transparent nature of this update means that you’ll bear with us while we pull those together. What we can say, is that through these monthly updates, we will be able to share and keep you informed every step of the way.
years of low temp diamonds mining ... this laugh must be likeI laugh at the comment the death of elite its been called for years yet here I am mining low temp diamonds and laughing
Only took a couple of years, it might even be sorted in another few!Well apparently thats 'in the pipe' now, according to Sally.
Will we see anything I wonder?
Ummm... I don't actually see where they state there are no further plans for the game - only a roadmap in getting Odyssey onto console (possibly).Sure. Here you go.
Please point to the part which says what their long term plans (beyond console release, or 1.0 of Odyssey) for the game are. You won't find one. In fact, here is the relevant paragraph covering this exact point.
In other words, they haven't got a scooby, and don't know how to tell us that.
no that laugh only comes when I read post and threads about the death of elite because other games all of which I sadly own have other things to do in them how ever boring they are
Bruce was on another thread talking about piracy and the stream last night. I added a reminder about megaship piracy there and was acknowledged.Only took a couple of years, it might even be sorted in another few!
Also I note that my post was edited, not sure what I said that caused offense? As in I literally can't remember... Seems I must try to tip toe around even more than I thought I already did.

So, the claim that an actual statement has been given us, is, might I suggest, technically inexact?
Ah, I see...The absence of information is very telling, even if they can't tell us specifics.
Really?and very naïve.
Ah, I see...
By sticking to the current project aspirations they have conclusively stated that there will be no further development - ok.
Really?
If I'm perfectly honest even if they made a statement of sorts regarding future plans .. after what they pulled with EDO I probably wouldn't believe them either way. So not sure if more promises make any difference at this stage - only facts will.Ah, I see...

Am I apologising? That isn't a very nice accusation to make!As with everyone who apologises for Frontier, I'll just say "Wait and see."![]()
Is technically inexact (as it has not been said at all) I am "apologising for Frontier" - wow, just wow!FDev have stated they have no future vision for the game
