Question about mining and it's state in July 2021

Hello,
I have a question about mining - how it' look like now? I remember not so far ago I fly towards rings with hot spots and I get nothing, since that time I don't touch this aspect of the game.
How situation looks now? Is still everything nerfed to the ground?

Kind regards, sharpq

I didn't do a lot of mining, but from my experience, laser mining is making decent money.
Core mining is doing less per hour. But it's more fun.

If you have a FC, then you can also play the market to sell for a higher profit.

Platinum mining with lasers is extremely reliable and probably makes the most money if that's what you want. Other types of mining work OK, but there's a bit more RNG involved. It's more active than laser mining, but generally doesn't pay as well unless you don't have access to big ships.

OK, thank you all for answers - I make a test - grab my old mining python and I went to prestine reserve system, I jump in to LTD ring - after one hour and 100 limpets I found 3 LTD and 6 tritium...
No comment - congratulations to developers team...

They nuked Ice rings in july 2020... for high price items collection rate, thats why the user said platinum not LTD...
The hole game got a price rebalance in November 2020 any way...
Bounty hunting was increased in pay... combat bonds were increased in pay... Mining was decreased in pay and bulk sales tax got reworked and demand of items Goes down for every single ton sold as a station which lower price per ton at the same time... collection rate in metallic rings went through the roof for platinum...
Bounty hunting missions pays more than RNG mining... because its RNG... Mapped mining still remains the highest paying game play because you remove the RNG from mining and repeat the same rocks every 3 hours... and with 6 maps you can just repeat the loop over an over...
This has remained the state since November 2020...

As GraphiteGB said, LTD mining is dead and a waste of time. Even if you were to find enough LTDs to fill your cargohold, the prices are so volatile that you'd be spending hours searching for a station with acceptable prices.

Use this tool here and look for either Platinum (low effort, acceptable income) or Painite (prices somewhat volatile, but still acceptable)

This seems like a familiar complaint. There are large numbers of Cmdrs mining and making plenty of money. I can mine 200t of either platinum (laser) or 200t of tritium (sub-surface) in a hour. Core mining takes longer to fill the Python but is easily doable in a couple of hours.

I will slag them as much as the next man, however In this case the fault is not with the developers.

We had a CG that confirmed tritium mining was easy to do just recently in may... lol. can be dull as smeg but was easy...

Platinum mapped mining requires a Fixed skill set that many don't have...
other players do and can break the high target mapped mining of 512 in less than 30 mins in the Ring Time..
