Expedition with a twist....a proposal......

If there is any interest, I would like to propose an idea for an expedition. I love the game, but find the desire to play harder to come by these days. Plainly put, I'm looking for a reason to actually play again, and I think I may have an idea. I am thinking about an ELW hunting expedition in the Galactic core area (best hunting grounds IMO). Not just an expedition, but a competitive one. I'll supply a carrier fully decked out as a local support base and transportation (to those who desire it), and whoever finds the most first discovered ELWs in a set amount of time (six months maybe?) I'll pay say 10-20 billion credits or so? Maybe have side bounties for the most ringed ELWs or ELMs? Of course I will refrain from entering myself... ** GRINS ** If there are enough CMDRs willing to participate, we can iron out all the particulars...

This sounds like it could be fun. Exploration rarely seems to have any competitive elements to it (other than the new squadron leaderboard I guess) so this could be a fun take on it. Depending on what I'm doing in game and IRL at the time of the expedition I might partake in this.

So....assuming we get at least 10-12 ELW hunters on board (the more the merrier) I'm thinking..20 billion for 1st...10 billion for 2nd...and 5 billion for 3rd place...

I might be in on this even though I don't care that much for the money. Just seem to be too much of a fuss to transfer cargo or materials. But it's a great initiative and sounds like fun. I'm close to the center also so why not.

Or you may twist it to find smallest / biggest elw (radius), instead of most of them. And have fully scanned system by the participant.
That way, everyone can participate exactly where they are including new explorers.
Anyone can win (the more you have, the higher chances you have, but not guaranteed), not just few players who know how to scan entire sections of space in superfast manner.

That kinda defeats the whole purpose of what I intended. I might as well have a lottery and give away the credits and call it a wash.
