I have tried building a profile from scratch. Sadly with the same results as when I import a mapping file. I'm beginning to think that it's some other variable outside of the mapping profile import process that is causing the problem. Maybe in the Game Settings or something. Either way, whatever I try (and I have been quite persistent in trying), it doesn't fix the issue with the hotas throttle.I'm free for the rest of the day now so I should be able to help out on Discord, Susie...but I suspect most of the problems you're having is through importing other peple's bindings or HOTAS mappings in then trying to edit those using the control menu.
If you import a custom HOTAS/keymap, you must select that profile from the built in profiles that appear in the SC keybinding options and edit those settings, using the menu just edits the default settings which the custom bindings then override.
What I've found is that it's much better to set your own bindings from scratch using the mess of a controls section (through trial and error), delete all the custom bindings and use your own...there's no conflicts between custom bindings and the default then. Once you've setup your HOTAS via the default controls menu, it's simply a matter of copy/pasting the profile folder over to a new patch or if you delete the user folder.

Some backers are so defensive they need to immediately jump to CIG's defense over even the smallest potential criticism and the ITS ALPHA card is the easiest card to play. Even when the criticism is being made by a fan and is fair.
Over the years i've seen backers, even big backers, get attacked, insulted, and dismissed for saying they didn't like something or they think CIG should change something.
This is the level of zealotry games sometimes inspire and its dumb as hell. Not just SC/CIG - although it does seem to have a higher share than normal, probably because of all the dreams CIG have sold, and when people feel their dreams are threatened, they tend to get defensive.

How true. I have never been attacked, insulted or dismissed for suggesting a change to any other game. Strange that it only happens with star citizen.
Maybe. Looking at his comments in the threads he posted in, while he might have said some good things, i think the overall take would have been negative.
I think the faithful picked up on this and therefore did what they could to make sure the article never got published.
I'm sure if he had been singing CIG's praises they would have hailed him as being a fair and quality journalist.

But can I have a source about this harassment ? It's also this 'journalist' that has reported it ?
Note : I don't refute the fact that harassment from some players didn't existed or don't exist anymore. I just want some datas about it.
Unfortunately i don't have that as the only source is the journalist themselves. We have no way of verifying it.
Maybe those comments are still on their website, feel free to look, but i'd guess they removed them already.... wayback machine?
But if you are looking for a reason not to believe it, go right ahead. Personally, i know from experience almost every gaming community has its crazies, and SC seems to attract some of the craziest, and i have no doubt in my mind that this could have happened and most likely did.
It wouldn't be the first time. Remember SidAlpha got threats against his family for not singing CIG's praises.
Oh right, yeah, the faithful didn't think one of their own could do something like this, and said it was done by one of the skeptics in order to make SC backers look bad.

I wouldn't know, i've never called all SC backers gullible idiots. There are certainly some gullible idiots among the SC backer community though, the sort of people will believe anything anyone tells them as long as it fits their dreams.
And this is just a deflection, whataboutism at its finest.
I didn't see the comments levelled at the journalist, so to be fair, i don't know how bad they were in reality, and can't compare it against a statement like calling people gullible idiots. But from what i've seen of the worst of the SC community (and ask yourself, what sort of person signs up for a site just to harass someone for something they haven't even done yet? Not exactly the most stable of people right?) i can imagine it was pretty bad.
