That's it. I quit the game.

I'd been playing for 30-40 minutes and fancied a cup of tea.

I have spoken with my wife and the cat and I will no longerplay until I've had the tea, plus maybe a biscuit, perhaps done a little gardening and had a short nap.

Might be back on this afternoon, but we'll see.
This constant flip-flopping of quitting and restarting like a gaslighting narcissist is all well and good, but I think you should head over to the "State of the Game" thread during one of your flouncy ragequits and contribute some erudition and insanity therein... perhaps a cat meme would also be in order...

Poor Lord Braben has no idea how to form His Holy Roadmap when players are constantly in a state of flux with regards to gameplay... although I myself have ragequit on an almost daily basis in order to go to work, or occasionally use the lavatory...

What game?
Which game? We discuss so many here.
This was obvious from its original context: it was posted in Elite - Dangerous Discussion. That context has been since been removed with its relocation.

Alas, it was too Dangerous (or too Elite?) and it was unceremoniously discarded into the waste-bin of the forums and now, here it languishes beside such esteemed threads as Mr Drew Wagar's.

This isnt a waste bin, but I see what you mean.

Launcher launched and I loaded my fovorite forums page
I waited for half a toasters toast sequence to see the starting-screen
And I read of all that stuff that could be had, from fake-quitters on rage
and it took a while for me to choose between,
a cookie cutters knife and that tea that maybe green

But if I really staretd Elite Dangerous Odyssey
Or if I kept posting on the forum pages, to be seen
They'll say nay, and I say yes. The rat is in the cage.

Still.

Can't escape the grind.

You'll never

find.

The Will

To come away wiht me, you humand child.
To Odyssey, like some poet wrote, should have whisperd the fabled fay, on that old cursed day.
There once was a man who quit the game
And sought himself five minutes of fame
He wrote a thread FDev to blame
And left for No Man's Sky

A week went by or maybe more
The game looked nice, but the flight was poor
He thought to himself "I'd best be sure"
"Give ED one more try..."

He's tried to leave the game behind
But he keeps coming back to the same old grind
No other games ED eclipse
He can't live without his FDev fix

It's really not worth me posting a new thread for this one question, but what's this i hear about the shooter aspect of Odyssey, actually being the repurposed detritus of a different failed shooter Frontier was working on? Or collaborating on? There's so many screams and wails and gnashing of teeth among the community at the moment, that it's difficult to know which claims are real and which are rubbish. So is there any truth to it?
