That goes without saying. Are the people who pay the shills morally corrupt as well?
I'll say this again... the game does look nice.
Haven't been active for a few years..but I know the tale, brotherI'm going to play my "i'm just a console peasant" card, and hope one of the PCers answer you first.
Only 5500? i didnt realise you were such a casulTBF a lot of mine is sat at Jacksons Lighthouse or Wolheim or man menu.
As a newbie SCer i'm quite enjoying it, the bugs and jankiness are manageable / tolerable, and as always it's refreshing to play something different. It kinda feels like some of the old pledgers can no longer see the fun bits, but then that's how i am with Elite now i guess...
Pretty much described me. I was waiting for SQ42, and didnt care about anything else it was doing until there was a released game. Recent events pushed me to try, now i see SC (proper) as them nailing down the tech and building blocks, then plop a single-player game on top.
If one did want a silly cat helmet, where does one purchase it?
Asking for a friend.
The problem lies with Star Citizen and it's clusterfarce controls menu...not device manager or your HOTAS, believe me. I'm still searching for a solution, I see a few folks have had the issue but can't find out how they fixed it...but again, the fix isn't trolling through device manager deleting items from the USB bus which will cause more problems than it'll ever cureSo I took a look at the HID/USB controller list in Device Manager...

As you can see its a mess!
I've downloaded the current Thrustmaster drivers and re-installed these...
I'll test SC again and let you know if this has helped...
Would I be better to remove all of these HID/USB listings and start again I wonder? I don't know what all these are for!
Any Suggestions Please?
You can remove / "uninstall device" for all that list in device manager and then restart and the system should re-add anything that is actually attached, including unknown/hidden system devices or things on the usb hub. As to what windows does or will do with your joystick, I can't say but driver updates could help.So I took a look at the HID/USB controller list in Device Manager...

Good advice...but I'm trying to steer Susie away from needlessly going through with it. Her HOTAS is registered, enabled and working in device manager and works with everything else except Star Citizen. Lowest common denominator here...initial setting up of a HOTAS is also a common problem in SC due to the controls menu in SC defaulting to M/KB for the Fortnite players. My X56 works fine...after faffing about in the abysmal nonsense of the controls menu 5 years ago to set it up...everyone else I know that flies HOTAS/HOSAS seems fine after a lot of trial and error in some cases. You can remove / "uninstall device" for all that list in device manager and then restart and the system should re-add anything that is actually attached, including unknown/hidden system devices or things on the usb hub. I think DS said similar to you, "can't be done with less than $300 MUSD and 8 years" or something like that, so he was too optimistic as well. His "two weeks" or 90-days comments were made with the usually unstated caveat "if the funding dries up". But whales wouldn't allow that to happen and keep pumping unprecedented money into CR pockets so he can keep plodding along changing the color of individual pixels and holding reshoots at the most expensive mocap studio in the world and funding $20,000 cappucino makers, $20,000 fake space doors, matching anniversary Porsches, a mansion and personal chef, etc. But I trust The Pledge, and that "all money goes strictly to develop the game". Sure some nice props are needed for developers working long hours, and the CEO may get enough money to live lavishly after the dreamers gave him hundreds of millions, but the CR pitch changed so much from day 1 to when he realized he hit the goon jackpot, and the shenanigans have been so blatant, that it bears constant repeating. Repeating unless and until he delivers two non-janky, fully developed AA [edit, that should be AAA] games as of current standards when released, as was promised year after year.Derek was always good for a laugh and making predictions that failed to come true.
I made some predictions years ago that also failed to come true.
Circa 2015-2016 i was posting on reddit saying that SC wouldn't release until 2020.
The faithful called me a FUDster and much worse.
And boy, do i have egg on my face! I was way too optimistic!
you should post a report on your likes/dislikes.Bought a pair of VKB Gladiator NTX sticks to use in both ED and SC, to replace my old Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X. I'll be setting those up next week.
May try to set them up for X4 Foundations too.

Well if people keep buying $1000 ships they'll keep buying nails
I bet if the money train dried up they'd start pushing hard for a proper release. Hell they could do a Hitman and plop out episodes for SQ42.
Not that i like that model, but they could.
On the Investment Cash:
When discussing the investment money in their financial blog, CIG firewall it from player funding. IE for 2019:
Total Pledges & Income: $60,717,000
Total Costs Capex & Investment: $70,431,000
= -$9,715,000
Cumulative Net Position: -$2,720,000
But...
Cumulative Net Position After Investments: $60,530,000
Due to the $45m in 2018 & $17.25m in 2019.

So how is the Cutty Black?
The new ship combat balances, along with the new HUD changes almost everything about ship fighting in 3.14. All in all, the changes have been generally well received, even amongst the PvP pew crowd. I really like the changes...and the new HUD is certainly a step-up from the old one.So how is the Cutty Black?
I've just scraped to 1.3mil aUEC so starting to decide on a ship: Cutty black cheaper and versitile; Freelancer (base) tankier and more solo DPS for gimbal scrubs; or maybe Cutty Red for easier FPS missions.
I've rented the Freelancer, and it seems good, just a big sluggish, not roomy inside, and decidedly not great view out the cockpit window.
Anyone know how these ships are in PTU 3.14?
Suggestions on something vaguely multi-role, so i can dabble in different gameplay, and not too expensive?
I got up to see to Ker...doing my nursey bit. She's had a really decent sleep for a change, took her along when I went to the local island shoppe this afternoon and she managed a hesitant lap around the shelves with a walking frame before I had to take her back to the car. That's the longest she's been on her feet in 4 months, even with a walking frame, so it really wiped her out... I'm proud she even attempted itWhat are you doing up reading at 3.45 @Mole HD ?
I'm in a lot of pain from my back / hip... The Tramadol isn't helping much either
I don't know how I'll cope in work in a couple of hours!
