Who cares? Nobody talked about allegedly finished SQ42 here. They have lied so many times about SQ42 that it is a festering lulz whenever it is mentioned. Precious SQ42 has been scamming gullibles just as long and got stale in the same period.

A good number of the alleged ED players posting their SC exploits in reddit etc mention purchase of packages though. Not too indicative of players owning both games at any rate. But since the pledge counter does not seem to acknowledge that, maybe you are suggesting those posts are fake or something?
Either that or the massive exodus is not as massive as we all thought maybe?

Well there was an injection of private venture capital but yes... 90%+ from Backers like myself.
Technically more than 500+ developers if you count subcontractors such as Turbulent, 3Lateral, Faceware Technologies, Firesprite among other partnerships.
Don't think there was any data to support either of the sides. It mostly just few Tubers making lots of noise, because there were so few to begin with, so it might feels like a lot.
Also i am glad they did. Kate SC adventure turned out to be very fun to watch, while i almost never followed her before.

Causal lurkers who are reading this... want "to care" why it is taking so long. Squadron 42 is a MASSIVE draw on resources.
Obviously its going to slow down the development of the Persistent Universe.
Squadron 42 has approximatly 300+ Devs plus drawing on resources from its offices around the world to get completed.
Im just glad CIG is finishing this game that Frontiers abandoned for its gamers.

Meh... financially "free" Crypto Investor / Military retired with nothing better to do today. I am enjoying the Crypto bounce today thanks to Elon/Amazon. Shorting DOGE was fairly profitable but back to a long position.
Might be a dip when Congress (USA) talks about regulating it (somehow) on the 28th of July.
But... back to the banter about ED vs SC
Because Elite players are used to earning ship with in-game credits. They aren't conditioned (yet) to paying real money for ships.

Ah, yes, David who made an apology for the bad release, as opposed to CR who simply absolves himself of making mistakes.
They are getting conditioned to exploring their ship while in quantum drive... landing anywhere on a planet w/ atmospheric conditions... mining in caves... FPS... exploring massive space stations.Because Elite players are used to earning ship with in-game credits. They aren't conditioned (yet) to paying real money for ships.

I have to admit they are having quite an impact in the community. Damn skilled pilots once they get comfortable with the new flight model.
