Where have you seen CIG is not working to add those techs ? Because they areModern engine improvements to lighting, volumetric effects and textures are not just better looking with modern engines, they require less processing overhead and are tuned specifically for newer hardware (especially SSDs and multi core / threaded CPUs). So not only are games using UE5 going to look better, they will run better using the same hardware.

CIG are working on many techs. Sometimes for years.
Occasionally one of those techs make it into the game, and backers start doing victory dances.
Then we go back to waiting for the next tech.
Don't forget the bit where out of the blue they decide to change game engine and have to start all over again......

That was a fun day or two. Comes blasting in, proclaims the second coming of Chris, boasts about his wealth, gets modded, rages about being modded (managed to see his post before mods got to it), and bam, banned.
Its probably only a week or something. He'll be back.
