Questions regarding using FSR with Vr:
1. Where is the image that is being downscaled/upscaled coming from when using vr? Is it the hmd image? The display adapter image?
2. When using FSR with vr, how the ’hmd quality‘ setting effect the upscale/downscale trickery?
1. I’m guessing here, but I think it’s from the HMD image - so dropping down from whatever SuperSampling 1.0 is to some lesser value, then upscaling with FSR. The virtual flatscreen is missing this part and thus just renders at the lower value.
2. Again guessing, but I think HMDQ comes after the image is processed so it’s something applied on top of the FSR.

think the SuperSampling stuff works
before the image is made and the HMDQ stuff comes
after the image is made - at least that’s how I’ve always (mis)understood it.
