the plants are incredibly frustrating.

How is it that these things are invincible? i shoot them, they have little rock effects pop out of them like they're the ground i'm shooting at.

seriously? ... talk about phoning in a feature .. i know they have no respect for explorers and all at Fdev. but how did this get to release this way?

they didn't code in any kind of destroying / death behavior to something that is supposed to be living and organic.

they didn't code in any kind of defensive behavior

they didn't code in any kind of offensive behavior ...maybe some plants could be hostile to you if you even got near ..making staring at them for 1 min dangerous to your life.

i haven't seen any that are luminescent ...or active in any biological type way.

barnacles are more alive than these things.

Why do you bother? Perhaps some time away from the game and forum would make you less disenfranchised with both game and developer?
A couple of years would be a reasonable break

why did they bother to put life forms on planets and not make them act like a life form in any way? They're invincible non-interactive rocks with a funky mesh and texture. How much more effort would it be to make them do something besides the default surface rock rubble reaction when shot ?

who looked at all of that and was like, "Yea, this will do."

Eagle was my one of choice, later 2000AD.

2000AD was great - I loved the weird stuff that wasn't judge dredd.
By coincidence we've cleared out a cupboard recently and I've found my old painted biker jacket from BITD, complete with the little Hewligans Haircut pic hidden away.

How is that relevant for measuring air temp ...and temps in general over what is comfortable or too hot or too cold?

You dont have to convert the units of temperature between other units within the same system. so the whole convenience of "metric" is useless there. so the idea that the bottom of the scale is 0 and the top is 100 is moot if the top is something that isn't really practical for where it's being used.

in other words, it's like measuring the length (edit: width) of your monitor in meters. That's how ridiculous celcius is.
