A Call For Frontier To Put VR Legs On The Upcoming Road Map

I think the guy may have been somewhat facetious. :7

Plenty of depth cues for the brain to work with, even for the walleyed - motion parallax, perspective, depth of field, fog, familiarity with the relative dimensions of things...

Good luck with that, they removed the petition and banned the Opening Poster...

...you, me, and many many others.
I very much doubt they banned Joy Muldoon for making the OP though, bit disingenuous there. Think it more likely he had yet another rage episode. Anybody heard from him?

The one you call muldoon, what even is that by the way, tried to do more for the VR community than you ever have. He picked up a rake of trumped up charges since starting this thread, and was evidently on the mods radar, and ultimately got banned for "contesting moderation" when he said he agreed with a post by a dude called Titler which stated that a moderator was out of line for pointing an angry mob of forumites, who were hacked off because their dev diary stream was cancelled in the direction of a Pride Stream being held by a Frontier staff member atthe same time as their stream was meant to be at.

BTW it's so bizarrely ironic that someone with as lets say "conservative views" as JLC got banned for defending a LGBT+A-->Z thingy.... But I'm jet ski'ing and he's into Star Citizen + other IRL stuff, so it don't matter.

@anders Funny thing is that when I asked him about muldoon to see if it was a gag I didn't know about or something, he asked me who called him that, and I gave your name, he laughed his arx off and told me you're pals with him in game, on one of his alt accounts, so yeah, go figure sunshine.

Right. So he got banned for challenging moderation on the forum, again, after being previously warned about it. Gotcha. So not banned for simply posting about/advocating for VR. Y'know, like I said. Cheers for confirming that.

Also (and this was pointed out at the time) the dev concerned decided to participate in a stream about Pride a) in her own time and b) on a different day to the game stream that was cancelled, so yeah, that particular conspiracy theory was dealt with pretty definitively at the time.

Also on this, I only have 7 people on my friends list (just checked). I've known 5 of them for years from another game we used to play and I've never spoken to the other two via game chat. So 'pals' might be a bit of a stretch. I've literally only spoken to one person via game chat in the last two years or more.

After Update 10 and its subsequent hotfixes, is it now time to begin calling again for Frontier developers to look into the VR implementation for EDO, and to provide players the VR headcam interim functionality with the menu warning that only smooth motion is available?

NO! No, no, no, no, no! I'm SO sick of the STUPID push for space legs. That is NOT why I started with Elite Dangerous, and all fools insisting on turning it into an FPS on-foot has done is ruined this game! Odyssey in VR is a load of CRAP! I'd rather they DITCH the space legs altogether. Horizons STILL looks better in VR.

No one's pushing for space legs. Space legs is here whether we wanted it or not, and it's not going to be removed. Personally I would have preferred ship interiors, but as long as I can walk on planet surfaces, I want to be able to do it in VR properly.
