that is like being stuck in a bad marriage hoping it will get better whilst the other has already shown, that there is no interest into further dealing with the issue - it is what it is and isn't likely to get significantly better - the best option you have is to part ways - then you will be able to be happy again - not being involved anymore is a relief - you can still mourn about it, but you are out and gone and it cannot harm you anymore. ED will never get significantly better, mark my words. NEVER.
