Which video is this? Frontier has consistently said more than 75.The video shows that in the game there are 74 dinosaurs, which means in Deluxe 79
As I said, Tropical, dried grass Savanna does exist in southern Texas, it's not a famous biome, but it's there (Cuba is dominated by it, so that's a potential Challenge mode locale if it's a thing).Savanna would definitely be a possibility for worldwide biomes. But as I understand it, the campaign is in North America. Tall-grass prairie would be a possibility, but all of the dinosaurs have at least some forest need, so a grass prairie biome wouldn't make much sense. I'm telling you, the only option I can see left is Pacific/coastal/whatever you want to call it, but it will be on the West Coast and it will have redwood trees. Can't have a dinosaur game without giant redwood trees.
Amargasaurus may specifically dislike Indominus rex because it's the only theropod that can pose a serious threat to it. Armarga may likely be able to more easily fend off the other theropods with its neck spines and tail, but Indominus is more bloodthirsty and determined and therefore more likely to injure it. As for Struthi, since it gets eaten by practically every theropod in the game, making it dislike specific theropods is pointless, so logically that means "Dr. Wu hybrids" = Stegoceratops and Ankylodocus, which Struthi likely dislikes because it can sense how strange and unnatural they are.If I recall correctly, the Indominus leak comes from an Amargasaurus; keeping an Amargasaurus away from an Indominus (or any reasonably large carnivore) is something that shouldn't need to be said, but there it is. With that in mind, the phrase "Dr. Wu hybrids" could easily mean Indominus and Indoraptor and nothing else.
Uhh... no? That thing is tiny; barely larger than a real-life Nigersaurus (and from the looks of things smaller than the JWE Nigersaurus)... so what if it had neck spikes? They may look cool, but there are plenty of areas on an Amargasaurus to bite... things like Acrocanthosaurus, Giganotosaurus and Tyrannosaurus were twice as tall, they'd just bite it in the back and break its spine with ease... and if small things like Velociraptor are no longer scared of large armored animals like Stegosaurus--as implied by that one video showing a pack of Velociraptor hunting a Stegosaurus--then there's no reason small predators would fear it either...Amargasaurus may specifically dislike Indominus rex because it's the only theropod that can pose a serious threat to it.
Maybe an instant kill instead of a fight, but yeah, not much of it makes too much sense at the moment (it is a purposefully made demo, so they may have simply added the terms to convey the fact they're a thing, rather than actually being final game accurate).Uhh... no? Meanwhile, everything else you said is just an assumption...
You seem to be really hoping that the Dr. Wu hybrids don't come back. What about them upsets you?Uhh... no? Where did I imply that? I have no problems with the Dr. Wu hybrids or hybrids in general... in fact, I'm one of the bigger proponents of the concept; the whole genetic hybrids thing works well with the themes of reckless and arrogant abuse of powers beyond our understanding. My problem is people who assume one thing when the evidence gives indication to the contrary... in this case, evidence that suggests "Dr. Wu Hybrids" could easily mean nothing more than Indominus and Indoraptor, yet some people insist it absolutely must mean all the hybrids are returning...You seem to be really hoping that the Dr. Wu hybrids don't come back. What else does it mean, then? Struthiomimus doesn't want to be around ANY carnivore, so listing two of them as dislikes would be redundant and dumb. And we've seen that herbivores do have dislikes regarding other herbivores, for example Triceratops dislikes stegosaurs and Stegosaurus dislikes ceratopsids. Therefore, Struthiomimus disliking Wu hybrids logically indicates that Stegoceratops and Ankylodocus are back.Where did I imply that? The same can be said for Amargasaurus, but that's where the Indominus Rex leak comes from... as already said repeatedly, there's no logic in Amargasaurus disliking Indominus specifically, so why must Struthiomimus disliking Dr. Wu Hybrids follow logic? There is precedents that says it doesn't have to; that Struthiomimus with a logical dislike of Indominus and Indoraptor would have these specific animals listed under dislikes, despite it being obvious. And if this is the case--which we've established it can be--Dr. Wu Hybrids can easily mean Indominus and Indoraptor and nothing else... I don't know how to make it clearer. What else does it mean, then? Struthiomimus doesn't want to be around ANY carnivore, so listing two of them as dislikes would be redundant and dumb.
That's a fair point. I hope you are right, that the hybrids aren't returning, as that would allow more space in the 75+ species roster for real dinosaur species. But I think the most likely explanation is that advanced above, that Amargasaurus is invulnerable to most large therapods except the Indominus, and that Struthiomimus dislikes living with the Dr. Wu hybrids Stegoceratops and Ankylodocus. The same can be said for Amargasaurus, but that's where the Indominus Rex leak comes from... as already said repeatedly, there's no logic in Amargasaurus disliking Indominus specifically, so why must Struthiomimus disliking Dr. Wu Hybrids follow logic? Close to a 0% chance that Archelon is in the game at launch. But a future DLC including Archelon could also include a jellyfish feeder or aquatic plants as well. That would be pretty cool. The fact that JWE 2 won't feature just dinosaurs opens up all kinds of possibilities.I just realized something. If the Archelon was to come, how would it be fed. Sea turtles are omnivorous from crustacean, seaweed, sponges to fish, but leatherbacks mostly eat jellyfish and also a sea turtle's diet changes when they age. So that has me wondering about what would an aquatic plant feeder would look like since I don't really see a fish feeder for the Archelon.
Fine, you win, Indominus and Indoraptor are the only hybrids returning, end of discussion. The same can be said for Amargasaurus, but that's where the Indominus Rex leak comes from... as already said repeatedly, there's no logic in Amargasaurus disliking Indominus specifically, so why must Struthiomimus disliking Dr. Wu Hybrids follow logic? Archelon's beak was adapted for both crushing shells and shearing flesh, so they can easily make it eat using the fish feeder. Dimorphodon fed on small reptiles and mammals in real life, but Frontier made it a fish-eater in the game.I just realized something. If the Archelon was to come, how would it be fed. Oh for crying out loud, that's not the point I'm trying to make and you know it! The point--because it seems to be going over your head--is that this so-called concrete proof proves nothing regarding the Dr. Wu hybrids; not that they're returning, not that they're cut. Not like this matters anyways... we'll get what we get and we'll know what that is soon enough... and no, whoever "wins" this it doesn't matter.Fine, you win, Indominus and Indoraptor are the only hybrids returning, end of discussion.
I know a great many things, but I'm going to leave it up to you guys to see all the dinosaurs and reptiles. But maybe keep an eye on the Database on our website, and see what pops up?What would be really cool would be if Jens could tell us whether all of the dinosaurs from JWE 1 will be returning or not... that way everyone would know whether their favorite dinosaur will be making it back...

You tease you. When will we see pack hunting and pack defense?I know a great many things, but I'm going to leave it up to you guys to see all the dinosaurs and reptiles. But maybe keep an eye on the Database on our website, and see what pops up?
