This is the Cobra Mk.III I'm using for on foot ops: https://s.orbis.zone/f2wk
So.. which is better(*) a single missile, or a single pack?packhoundx1
Packhound cannot be fired on something without have it locked in targeting. They are good against some tougher threats which shows at least for some time as "target" for ship. Dumbfires on the other hand can be fired anytime and are perfect for destroying on foot NPCs due explosions (area damage). On foot NPCs are really hard to hit with ship weapons because you cannot lock aim on them. It is possible, I killed one with imperial hammer, but it was more luck as something else.So.. which is better(*) a single missile, or a single pack?
Boo! I was hoping for the equivalent of shotgun missilesPackhound cannot be fired on something without have it locked in targeting.
I found fixed beams quite useful, but you still have to hit them and they dodge, and you hit them and they dodge, and you hit them and they fall over.On foot NPCs are really hard to hit with ship weapons because you cannot lock aim on them. Me too. Can't beat the speed and hardpointsViper 4
KeelbackWhats your guys ship of choice for general planetary ops? Lets say a ship specifically made for going to settlements to do missions/attack them, for impact sites and other general odyssey gameplay.
Personally for planetary ops I like having 2 dumbfire missile racks, SRV hangar, detailed surface scanner, docking PC(for when I wanna go to the bathroom IRL, get some water, or just plain old feeling lazy) and optionally a guardian frame shift drive booster since less jumps to get to places is nice.
Im using phantom atm, good jump range, alot of optionals for everything I could ever want, not too large. But I was thinking about using a small ship since I like that they are easyer to find even ground to land on and I like how many of them look and fly in general ^_^.
Annyways Im curious what do you CMDRs prefer?
shakes head No such thing as overkill. 'Always cheat; always win. If you walk away, it was a fair fight. The only unfair fight is the one you lose.'I use this for conflict zones and annoying scav bases. May or may not be a bit overkill.
The flak launchers can be swapped out for mines if you'd prefer those. Don't put mines on the large or small hardpoints if you're gonna be making bombing runs though.
That's baitSo that means a cobra MK4
