Curious to see where they go next, since the list as it is now doesn't provide an obvious direction...
I actually think they cpuld try smaller but more frequent packs, since there are no more obvious headliner animals. Like, country packs with 2+1 animalsCurious to see where they go next, since the list as it is now doesn't provide an obvious direction...

Well... regardless of what they do, they should at least do a Europe pack first... so we have one for every continent...I was thinking the future dlc could be grouped by biomes.....
While I agree thematically, please name a European animal that would make a casual player go "Wow I must have this pack!". And I mean something on the lines of the polar bear, jaguar, kangaroo, penguin or meerkat.Well... regardless of what they do, they should at least do a Europe pack first... so we have one for every continent...
I reckon it's aviary birds and then straight into biome animal packs. We may get lucky and have 10 animals with 6-7 habitat animals, 2-3 aviary birds and an exhibit animal. They probably will skip a Europe or Eurasian pack, but will add animals from there in the biome packs. Just my guess.Well... regardless of what they do, they should at least do a Europe pack first... so we have one for every continent...
The lynx, the ibex, the red deer. The headliner animal is what sells the pack, and Europe IMO doesn't have one.
Nice avatar, I'm stoked for Ghost Game lolI was thinking the future dlc could be grouped by biomes.....
And I suspect biome packs would give us the mix of animals+foliage we don't get in animal packs.I reckon it's aviary birds and then straight into biome animal packs. Maybe except for lynx but I would much rather see Eurasian animal pack than just European DLC.While I agree thematically, please name a European animal that would make a casual player go "Wow I must have this pack!". I may be wrong, but from my experience as zookeeper I have never seen anyone excited for these species. The lynx, the ibex, the red deer.
The lynx has been highly-requested for a Europe Pack for ages, the ibex has the same value to the game as the moose, if not more, and the red deer has had decor in the game since launch that has never been followed through on, like the dromedary (except without continuously getting new pieces).
You asked for animals that would headline the pack, not animals that would excite people in real-life zoos (which is also incredibly subjective and unquantifiable with anecdotal evidence).I may be wrong, but from my experience as zookeeper I have never seen anyone excited for these species.
Ibex and deer tend to be filler animals, and lynx are usually clumped between other more popular carnivores.
The headliner animal is what sells the pack, and Europe IMO doesn't have one.

Looking at what's left on the metalist, there isn't a whole lot of A-tier animals anyways... so... what does it matter now? For that matter, what does it matter for any other kind of pack at this point (outside of maybe an aviary or aquarium pack)? The headliner animal is what sells the pack, and Europe IMO doesn't have one.
You know what, I was kind of set on a 4+1 European pack, but I like this set up. I'd probably choose the Badger for that one slot, but this knocks off a lot of animals that are high profile for both regions. I would definitely buy this.Maybe except for lynx but I would much rather see Eurasian animal pack than just European.
I would go with:
Amur leopard (Asia)
Przewalski horse (Asia)
Eurasian lynx (Europe and Asia)
Wolverine (Europe and Asia)
Alpine ibex (Europe but other ibexes all over Asia)
Musk ox (Europe and Asia) or Eurasian badger (Europe and Asia) or Racoon dog (Europe and Asia)
Père David’s deer (Asia)
So I agree there are no strictly European animals that would make average player want to buy a pack and Eurasian pack would contain animals from both continents and would please both Europe and Asia enthusiasts.
I'd swap the Musk ox for the superficially similar, but much more common in zoos (and IMO much prettier) takin.Maybe except for lynx but I would much rather see Eurasian animal pack than just European.

It means a change in strategy is likely necessary to stay profitable. I agree there are no real A-tiers left (one could make an argument for mematic animals like the sloth/platypus), but that means doing things similar to the SEA pack. More animals, but no A-tiers.Looking at what's left on the metalist, there isn't a whole lot of A-tier animals anyways... so... what does it matter now?
