Well, I was getting used to the new set up, when I was interdicted by an Expert NPC. I panicked, and the Pavlovian response kicked in. Except the old bindings on Kbd + Mouse didn't work any more. Also, buttons 3 and 4 are too near my fire buttons. I'd set them to next/prev weapon group and my fat knuckles kept knocking them. Seemed like a good idea but it's not good when you're trying to cut through shields with a Discovery Scanner. I think I may need to try out a few Training exercises again and fine tune my bindings.

I was thinking, I could possibly try, just a little bit, of adapting the chair, ever so slightly. So the Thrust is on one arm, the Stick on the other and I can still get to the keyboard without obstruction. I don't think she'll go for it.

Grats on triple Elite! Kudos for attaining that at such an early stage in your career. The combat Elite is just grindy I find. One day, maybe :D

If Quad Elite wasn't my top goal I'd be done with combat for a good while because of how grindy it was. I read about doing AX but they nerfed it. I read about Comp Nav Beacons but I was never lucky enough to get a constant flow of Elites. In the end I found Medium CZ's were the most consistent at spawning 4-6 Elites each time so I parked my carrier near one and helped player factions win their wars... for about two weeks straight.

The thing with getting triple or quad Elite now is, it ain't top of the heap anymore.

I made Elite I in trading a while back and I'm well on the road to Elite II.

In addition to adding more tiers so Elite V is now the max, we have more disciplines in which attain it such as exobiology and all the other on foot stuff.

I suppose there will be immortal god-like players who will chase and get to these heady heights of Elite V in everything but, for me, it's made it all an unnecessary goal. I have what I have and I'm quite sanguine about it.

Having a break from EDO mission. Gone mining.

Hope those lasers look more lively now :D

It's strange, but I always come back to mining. Not just because of the credits (which I don't need), but I find it a strangely relaxing experience. Besides, I want to see what my 3080 makes 'roids look like - I suspect not much!

I'm on XB so single Elite is still the top of the heap for me lmfao. I'll grind that stuff again if I ever get Odyssey.

I have Reddit Agro Loadings, My own Trading Grind, and ZERO mining to thank for that. Plus I'm the type of guy who traded up for ships. Started with a Sidewinder, met a cool guy playing FO76 who helped me with Wing Missions to get a Conda, Moved up to a Vette after the Rear Adrmiral Grind, and only bought a Mamba when I noticed I needed a Medium Ship to turn missions in sometimes. Now I use my Vette for almost everything and the Mamba when I want to have some fun canyon running.

I remember the first times I flew in an Icy Ring it was so beautiful I just forgot about why I was there and just flew around the rocks enjoying it all.

Grr.

Due to the FC bug, I've had to stop mining and return to the bubble to sell off my cargo. I was hoping to triple the amount of platinum I have before going to market.

As I can't transfer stuff to my carrier, my Cutter is full to the brim so I can't use smaller ships. V. irritating.
