State of the Game

It was said in jest, but:

the human body developed in a survival mode where it will store whatever it can 'just in case'. Eating too much fat these days is bad because we simply don't excercise as much as we used to / run away from animals like we did so long ago- we eat the fats and carbs, the body dutifully files that fat in the COVID loo roll / petrol jerry can adiposal tissue store.

Today people who eat too much fat get fat which has led to a pancreatic explosion of beetus, heart disease etc. I know its not as simple as this but for most people eating too much good stuff thats yummy and fatty (not to mention yellow) is bad.
It's not fat that's killing people, it's the processing of foods. Fats in meats and vegetables (with no processing) are absolutely fine. Those aren't what people are eating too much of. :)

I offset the fats with red wine.

And, please, nobody try to tell me that this isn't a 'thing' by the way... because it is!!! It just is.

The voices in my head have assured me.

Honest.

We've evolved over two-to-three hundred thousand years to process 'raw' fats pretty well.

Not so much the processed (and hidden) fats. And frankly, not in the easy volume with which we can now access them.

Special thanks go to @Rubbernuke here. (y)

You can still eat too much healthy fat though- regardless if its good or bad fats if you eat too much (which are calorific regardless) your body will store that as glycogen in muscles (if I recall) and fat , and you will chonk up.

heh, my work is having their annual corporate training programs and the one for identifying and stopping money laundering is basically a detailed howto guide on how to launder money.

I read a story recently where a man was fired from his workplace when during a trainer seminar on how to deal with an active shooter he asked what's to stop an active shooter from flicking the fire alarm and lying in wait for victims at the evacuation point.

I would have gotten away with it too if it hadn't been for that pesky Rubbernuke fella
Pesky kids and stupid dogs are always getting in my way.

This is the case back in which my current phone lives...
