State of the Game

Really? Haven't they been told every few days that nothing has changed and that the console version won't be considered until the PC one works? I understand that goldfish have a memory that is around 7 seconds...
You fiend!

Goldfish can remember things for at least months

I don't know if they've done the experiments on consolistas. I don't know if they have a big enough bowls ...

real football is as well a matter of where you live - Australia has an oval field and not rectangular for example.

I personally think that the oval field offers more opportunities for interesting (quick moving) game play vs. the more collision based (aggressive) american football. There is no body armor in aussie footy either. For those loving a rough field sport, there is Rugby. Rugby is not really played but suffered through. This said, the only time I visited a Rugby game was in Durban, South Africa, and it was brutal - Rugby is not for the fainthearted. As well not for the audience - it can end in a mass brawl.

aussie footy on the other side is family friendly - very fair played at least here in Tassie.

@Rat Catcher I see now what you meant with the changes to slots in NMS - I thought my S-class explorer would be done with 36 slots plus 12 technology, but it actually let's me enhance the slot space to 48 plus 16 - quite expensive to get these slots, but there is no shortage of slots at all anymore.

Good morning good bretheren and sisteren of the brebus! glad I made it for moring vespers!

I played rugby for 9 years in college, grad schools and club level and plenty of American football and "soccer" as well as a kid. Australian football always looked insane to me just because of the collisions that result from the style of play with the prevalence of kicks/ punts in the game but i only got snippets of it here in the US on the sports channels.

and happy taco tuesday all:

there is no god or lord.. only the infinite Void. your Brebus will lead you in circles and eventually fail his followers. even he will come to know the truth of The Void.

The Void is everything and nothing... all around us and within us. those who venture far enough from the distractions of content may be invited by the Void to glimpse its truth... and tested against the insanity it offers.

Before one of the updates (a couple of years ago) the slot only held 100 units (I think - it may have been 500, but that seems too large) so management was a bit of a headache!

I also have a memory of picking up slot upgrades during play, possibly from one of the manufacturing buildings where the armoured door needs to be destroyed to get in and the easy puzzle solved to put it back online.

The cost of adding slots does get very expensive quickly, but it is very productive to mine platinum in the asteroid fields with the current storage, as well as the odd gold rock...

my farms produce about 330 million every day with a work load of about 1.5hrs - so I can upgrade several slots every day - but my s-class ships are done, I am now looking for another exotic (have 2 yet) and a living ship - but I have no idea where to get it - don't tell me, I want to figure that out by myself.

I produce circuit boards, explosive liquid and living glass - I could eventually make more with using explosive liquid to create higher valued items, but I haven't figured out yet, how to get enough nitrogen to make it happen - certainly from Radon, but that is quite cumbersome to harvest - I would need that in huge quantities, but it is slow to harvest it.

Can't you get those at Jameson? 😉 I thought they had everything there.

Without saying too much...

Getting a living ship is a proper quest - it takes around a week (?) maybe a bit longer, once you have the 'starter'. My one spends all of its time in storage, one day I'll find out how to upgrade it. You may need to look up the "howto" to get your starter, the remainder is following the 'clues' given. They are all proc-gen, so yours may look entirely different to mine when you get it!

awesome - ok quest based though - not very likely to get it anytime soon then, I'm not really fond of quests. Yesterday I found an awesome pretty earth like planet with large prehistoric looking fauna, just that it is mainly orange and not green - but it has lovely oceans with blue water and so far I didn't come across sentinels. I will explore the ocean there this week.

planet type is "bountyfull" - it is lovely there, normal temperature and so far no sentinels.

The quest was nobbled by mandatory timers (which i assume remain - I got mine started when the patch dropped) which stretched 'progress' that could be done in literally a few hours. A little while later a 'cheat' was mentioned on the steam community page which involved changing the day on PC...

I've visited a few very attractive (not-cartoonish) bodies in NMS, the good ones can be really good - now we can summon the 'vehicles' with minimum effort, undersea exploration is much easier, and a lot of fun, too.
