Greetings Commanders,

Explorers venture into the depths of space and discover beautiful systems that most will never see. We would like to offer you the opportunity to share your best discoveries and be immortalised in Elite Dangerous.

Our plan is to place approximately 50 additional Tourist Beacons throughout the Milky Way. Therefore, we’re running this competition in-line with this week’s exploration-based Community Goal.

To enter, reply to this post with an in-system (not System Map) screenshot of the most interesting unpopulated systems containing an Earth-like world you can find! When the Community Goal ends on 30 September, we’ll choose our favourites and add Tourist Beacons to those locations. Each beacon will feature the entrant’s Commander name in its text!

To qualify, submissions must:
  • Feature a screenshot of an unpopulated system in Elite Dangerous which contains an Earth-like world
  • Include your in-game Commander name
  • Include the name of the screenshotted system
Note: Only one submission will be accepted per player. If you submit multiple screenshots, the last one will be considered your only valid entry. Entries after 14:00 BST on 30 September will not be counted. We reserve the right not to include any Commander names in Tourist Beacon text that we deem inappropriate.

While the system must contain an Earth-like world, it doesn’t have to be the focus of the image. Try to show off as many features as you can which make the system interesting and a strong potential tourist destination!

All winning entries will receive 5,000 ARX in addition to the Tourist Beacon, so get exploring!

Good luck

Another twin ELW here.
Thailoae BQ-Y f0, bodies B 7 and B 8
Commander Zieman

System main star a class B star with several T-Tauri stars in planetary orbits alongside with some planets.
The secondary star is a Herbig Ae/Be (bound to become class A eventually I think) which my ELW pair orbits with more planets and also several T-Tauris. One of the T-tauris has an Ammonia World as its 'moon'. There's also one (not terraformable) Water World and a couple of terraformable HMCs around.

Commander: TIMMES
System: Clooku NX-B d546 5 a

Class A Star-System
1: class III gas giant with 2 rings (A: metal rich, B: rocky), 1 moon
2: gas giant with waterbased life with 1 ring (rocky)
3: earthlike world with 2 rings (A: rocky, B: metal rich)
4: class III gas giant with 3 rings (A: rocky, B: rocky, C: metal rich), 2 moons of which one is a gas giant with water based life and 2 rings (A+B: metal rich)
5: class IV gas giant with 2 rings (A+B: rocky), 1 moon)
5a: helium-rich gas giant with 2 rings (A: rocky, B: metal rich), 2 moons
6: class Y-dwarf with 1 ring (rocky), 8 moons with one of them having itself 1 moon
7: high metal content world

1, 2 and 3 are turning around each other. The star system offers also a fantastic view on the octopus nebula.

System: California Sector MC-V C2-9 A 4

Sadly, showing more of the California Nebula makes the file size too big, but hopefully this picture gives enough of a glimpse of the spectacular view. Also included is the system map which has a fascinating orbit structure, as well as many landable planets to explore.

Balfour's Paradise
(2 ELW, 3 WW, 9 HMC)

CMDR Torloisk
System: Smoje YM-M C7-2
Distance to Sol: about 3500 LY

2 K stars with one Earth-like world each: A5 and B3

Plus:
3 water worlds, of which 2 are terraformable: A7 and B4
9 high metal content worlds, of which 2 are terraformable: A4 and A6

Cmdr Torloisk discovered this system onboard his exploration vessel Balfour, an engineered Krait Phantom, on his way to the center of the galaxy. He considers this system as a suitable location to later spend his retirement.

I present you "Prua Dryoae IH-S d5-105", 2,466.96 ly from Sol:
This amazing system (initial discovery by amtcubus) has at least:
  • 3 Earth Like World (including a binary pair)
  • 3 Waterworlds (2 terraformables)
  • 5 High Metal Content (1 terraformable)
  • 1 Rocky plannet landable with atmosphere, with Stratum Cucumisis (top 3 Vista Genomics paying samples) and Bacterium Cerbrus life forms.
All those are orbiting a White F star or a yellow-Orange K Star

This makes a very interesting system for any explorer around:

Taking Stratum life form samples from "Prua Dryoae IH-S d5-105" planet A 5 a, a Rocky planet with 100% thin sulphur dioxide atmosphere, orbiting the terraformable Waterworld you rising in the horizon :

This last, and more tourist-friendly picture is taken in same system "Prua Dryoae IH-S d5-105", from Earth Like World planet B1, looking toward his binary sister Earth Like World planet B2, showing its thick atmosphere backlit by a bright K star :

The system I would like to offer as a Tourist Destination is..
SHROGAAE SC-A C15-176
This 18 body system can be found in the Empyrean Straits with wonderful views of the "Shrogaee Nebula" and with binary Earth likes orbiting each other proves to be an impressive distant holiday system.
the following 3 images show in the first two each individual Earth Like World and the final shot with my Krait Phantom and including both Earth likes is to be my entry image.

small description: In this system there are 2 Earth like Worlds orbiting each other and a Water World orbiting them both. It might be a nice little vacation spot near the Coalsack Nebula for those who don't want to travel far away from the Bubble. I wonder what the species emerging simoltaniously on both Planets and meet the other would think about alien life.
