I'm okay with it. I liked the dinosaurs in JWE 1, other than the hybrids (not that they were modeled poorly, I just don't like hybrids) and Deinonychus. There will be more dinosaurs added through DLC and dinosaur packs, of that we can be certain.

Yeah there will be very likely DLCs and updates with new animals, but still. Coelophysis, Amargasaurus and Qianzhousaurus being the only new dinos which we already know about really is disappointing, as I really wanted to discover a few brand new dinos and get surprised by playing the game myself
Well, assuming they do include every animal from JWE in the base game--minus Huayangosaurus for some reason--there's still 1-4 more newcomers yet to be revealed...
And in any case, the idea that all dinosaurs will return is still an assumption, which seems based largely on "they haven't cut anything I thought would be cut". In fact, we have better evidence to say they won't; they already held back Huayangosaurus for paid DLC... might seem a bit weird if it was the only one to do so.

I got to admit the chunkingsaurus and Gigantspinosaurus had reworks of their models I'm very impressed, I saw suchomimus and I love it more. I even hope that apatosaurus looks similar to its movie appearance in the 2015 Jurassic World movie.
Seeing as even non-movie (and rather unknown non-favorite) dinos such as Chungkingosaurus and former DLC dinos like Crichtonsaurus are in, I think it's pretty safe to assume that all are back in base game except Huayango. Also, the fact that the models and skins are already available from the first game also speaks for this possibility.
Concerning other new dinos, we'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully there are more (and don't get spoiled before launch)
You can assume all you want... but again, a JWE base game animal is now being included as a paid DLC extra animal... and the fact that the models and skins being available from the first game just means they can easily add them again as filler DLC... you know, like they did with the Huayangosaurus...
Is there a video or picture or something of their iin-game appearance? All I ever saw was the research icons...
Swrves video looks very good, Bestinslot releasing the suchomimus looked very good and gaming beaver as well looked at the species and even he noticed that there are a few differences with the species that were very unpopular in the first game. I'm actually looking forward to seeing these species myself.
Anyway I've been playing Jurassic world Evolution a lot more lately and I can tell the difference because I have used these dinosaurs many times in my parks and judging what about I saw they look very good I even had to freeze those images to look at them and notice some differentiations in the design. I couldn't see apatosaurus that well but that's to be expected from a large animal so I'm hoping it does get a model change from the first game and have a more movie like appearance similar to its movie counterpart from the 2015 apatosaurus. Or look more realistic

omg! did he just confirm two More aquatic species, the most sought-after of the species elasmosaurus and Liopleurodon. It seems unreal because if Cryolophosaurus gets confirmed later aswell I would be thinking Hallelujah finally

Well, that's a little... disappointing honestly. Marine animals seem like the least useful of all the animals included, and we're reaching a point where they've either revealed every animal in the game (assuming everything else returns we got... 78 species I think?)... or they most definitely cut more than just Huayangosaurus out of the base game... which just sounds weird when you consider what they ultimately did add to the base game.

The only reason I could see for adding all the old crap is that they don’t want to ask extra money for those in later expansions, nobody is gonna pay extra money for Aergeaornithomimus or all those unknown anky’s and Stego’s, people will pay their ass off for Protoceratops, Deinoncheirus, Psittacosaurus, Tapejara, Plateosaurus, Shunosaurus, Struthiosaurus, and Therizinosaurus
Indominus rex in their Likes category, finally able to have them coexist as a pack with a BIG alpha

"Least useful" how? And it's not like there's a limit to what they can have in the base game, the only limiting factor is time and they've taken the time to bring back so many already, including ones everyone was certain would be tossed out for one reason or another.
As one person put it, aquatics are "like a fishtank"... lagoons take up a huge amount of space, with nothing interesting to fill that space like plants or rocks, and all you get are animals swimming in circles... which you can only view from the sides, because there are no rides or any way to move through the tanks... and its not like they can escape or rampage or anything, they're stuck in the tanks. There just isn't a lot they do or we the players can do with them... they're just... there...

Last thing we want is Frontier to change the roster yet again. Because for some reason every single time we think we know what's coming in the past Frontier changes the roster. Let's pretend to be surprised otherwise Frontier will throw us a curveball.
