Elite Dangerous: Odyssey Update 8 Notes

Sorry, I think I missed that part, when or where it was mentioned? Did they give any ETA for it?
Take a look in this very section, there is some fascinating reading. Yes, it has been mentioned, no, as expected, there is no ETA as it hasn't moved to done...

o7 Commanders.
See you in the Updates.
Sally, you really should be paid for every letter you type - and each one over 10,000 should net you 10p.... you'd be a millionaire by next year !
Any 'orange Sally' letters should also be extra credits / rep / influence, as you choose - much prefer them to the "orange sidewinder" letters ....
Thanks again for your excellent efforts in informing / updating and communicating with us (y)😃

I'll answer this - if we're putting something into the game to be revealed during a narrative event, it's highly unlikely we'll mention it in patch notes :)
I hope this year we come out of the narrative and enter in ACTION 😁

So, yeah, I've seen that before...

I guess planned is not really to be expected for them?

Is it intended that engineers only can be unlocked through "the Bubble"? We might not be many, but some has been in the black for some years and while a trip to the Bubble at this time would be somewhat trivial, it would be nice if the engineers at Colonia could be unlocked there.
I think it makes a kind of sense.

Really? I read it as stopping fighter losses as counting as ship losses in a CZ (which they really shouldn't).

I don't think it'll mean fighter kills no longer counting. That's pretty much what fighters are for.

(I hope I'm right, as that's pretty much how I play CZs).

UPD: it is really confusing

what is a group of Commanders called?
For Horizons, I think it most appropriate to follow the snake naming convention, so a slither or a tangle of CMDRs.

Given how Odyssey has turned me into a monster (it's very easy to get to 10 notoriety when you just want those settlement defense plans!), I think we might employ the collective noun a murder of CMDRs in that shard of the game.
