General Ideas for Updates and DLC

Now that we know the full base roster, I figured this would be a good opportunity to post a wish-list of updates and DLC I'd like to see for Jurassic World Evolution 2. Do bear in mind that this contains probable spoilers for Jurassic World: Dominion.

Updates
Camp Cretaceous Update

While the developers have stated they have no current plans for Camp Cretaceous content, its canon presence and consumer support may encourage the developers to do a small update with Camp Cretaceous content once the show has concluded (likely around the release date of JWD).
  • Monolophosaurus
  • Ouranosaurus (2015 model variant)
  • Scorpios rex
Dominion Update
Because there are so many new creatures being added with the new film, I've broken it down into 2 parts. Part 1 would be released before the film release, ideally alongside a public release of the IMAX preview. Part 2 would be released ether the day of or after the film's release, not unlike the original game's Update 1.3.
Part 1
  • Dreadnoughtus (2022 model variant)
  • Giganotosaurus (2022 model variant)
  • Iguanodon (2022 model variant)
  • Moros
  • Oviraptor
  • Quetzalcoatlus
Part 2
Because of the game's purview, I've left the inclusion of synapsids ambiguous. Should they make it into the game, it will influence ideals about future content I'd like to see. ''Utahraptor'' is speculated to be the leaked ''mirror dino'', though I left it as ambiguous since it may also refer to Blue's parthenogenesis-induced offspring.
  • Atrociraptor
  • Dimetrodon(?)
  • Lystrosaurus(?)
  • Microceratus
  • Pyroraptor
  • Therizinosaurus
  • Utahraptor(?)

Downloadable Content
Hybrid Pack
Alongside the 3 DLC hybrids from the first game, I've also added 5 entirely unique hybrids, with no connection to other Jurassic Park games.
  • Ankylodocus
  • Baryamargas ("Heavy bitterness") - Baryonyx + Amargasaurus
  • Carnocephalus ("Meat head") - Carnotaurus + Pachycephalosaurus
  • Dilophostruthio ("Two-crested ostrich") - Dilophosaurus + Struthiomimus
  • Ichthyotylos ("Fish ") - Ichthyosaurus + Tylosaurus
  • Spinoraptor
  • Stegoceratops (now with a 2015 model variant, obtained with using Nasutoceratops DNA instead of Triceratops DNA)
  • Tropeodon ("Keel tooth") - Tropeognathus + Dimorphodon
Triassic Pack
  • Atopodentatus
  • Blikanasaurus
  • Caviramus
  • Lilliensternus
  • Plateosaurus
Pterosaur Pack
  • Dsungaripterus
  • Hatzegopteryx
  • Kunpengopterus
  • Nyctosaurus
  • Rhamphorhynchus
Marine Reptile Pack
  • Archelon
  • Dakosaurus
  • Nothosaurus
  • Shonisaurus
  • Xenodens

We don't only need more Dinosaurs.
This is what we need.
1. New/More Guest/Staff Animations
2. New/More Dynamic Animations for Aquatic/Avian and Land Dinosaurs
3. New/More Attractions
4. New/More Teams
5. New/More Buildings/Environment Scenery/Biomes and Customizable Size
These are things we have seen in the Book , Movies , Animated Series and Older Games.
We don't need more Dinosaurs.

Cool, but that's not relevant to my thread. You're free to make your own thread about what you want!
Well it is relevent its call a Discussion It says Jurassic world Evolution 2 Discussions you say your idea i say mine and thats call a discussion

And im ok with that. Thats your opinion. It's also call Democracy. I'm 34years old and grow up with Jurassic park I have read the book. There is more to Jurassic Park then just Dinosaurs. It's about how man takes controll on nature and the consequences that come next. But I do respect your opinions. I just don't agree with it 100%. I believe It should be a more Mature game , Challenging and less childless. Plus its in your own title that you wrote ....

I think 5 new animals per pack is probably a bit on the generous side (especially since Deluxe this time is more like 4.5 species). It's certainly something they'd be capable of, but it makes for affordability issues on the generic customer end.

Caviramus is a pretty good choice, a little over a metre wingspan, keratinous crest of some kind. I'd already given up on finding a solid Pterosaur from the Triassic.

Triassic dinos aren't too exciting beyond Plateosaurus/Mussaurus, I think venturing into the non-dino amniotes would be warranted, regardless of whether the Lystrosaurus gets screen time. Postosuchus is the WWD fan favourite, as is Placerias. Hyperodapedon, Lotosaurus and Shringasaurus are fun examples.

I contemplated on adding the modestly-sized Silesaurus instead of Blikanasaurus to my Triassic Pack, but that hinges upon believing that Dinosauromorphs are dinosaurs, which is a pretty big stretch.

No thank you, none of those packs sound anything near exciting to me...

And are they seriously putting 3 raptor species in Dominion? My interest in this movie couldn’t get any lower now... But they probably show so much trailers/spoilers before release that Ive seen the movie on youtube before it even hits the cinema anyway

I sincerely hope none of this Camp cretaceous and hybrid stuff ever get added, when there is so much more other interesting potential source of content.
Frontier cutting the dumb Dr. Wu hybrids from the first game (except the film hybrids of course) was a very good move in the right direction, hope they keep it up.

Why?

Frontier cutting the Secrets of Dr. Wu hybrids from JWE2's base game is, to put it bluntly, a kick in the teeth.
Every single dinosaur from the previous game has returned for the sequel, including species that had mixed to negative reception from players such as Deinonychus and Archaeornithomimus. Troodon and Olorotitan have also returned, and they were in the same DLC as the hybrids. Yet for some reason, the hybrids are excluded.

With the removal of the two herbivore hybrids and only piscivore hybrid, the sequel has lost variety amongst the hybrids. As much as love the Indominus rex and Indoraptor, they are both carnivorous raptor hybrids and the latter can be easily argued as just a variation of the former.

It would be great to not only have the hybrids from the previous game return for the sequel, but also to have new hybrid species whether they’re based on designs from the Ludia games or even brand new designs that Frontier themselves have created.

Regarding Camp Cretaceous, with the animated show being a canonical addition to the Jurassic franchise, as well as the success and popularity of the show and the sheer number of new content that such a DLC pack could offer, new animals (both natural & man-made), new animal skins, new buildings, new decorations, new vehicle skins, etc. Frontier would have to be crazy not to take advantage of how financially lucrative a Camp Cretaceous DLC would be for them.

Yes, lets add the robot smilodon as well!!!!!! Ugh.

I’m so happy they cut the pathetic hybrids, it was one of the only good choices they made in this game! I think they wanted to skip the other hybrids as well, but only added them because they wanted all movie dinos in...

And at least indo/indominus look scary and well put together, those ankylodocus, stegoceratops and spinoraptor were made by childrens fantasy of putting two dinosaurs together, oh so special...

One of them shouldn’t even be a hybrid but Saltasaurus and Shunosaurus.

I think it would be a good idea to increase the number of fossil sites on the expedition map with each update or with each DLC that comes out in the future.

Another thing that I would have loved to see would be baby dinosaurs (I hope they reconsider that option)

I completely agree. It's not because they said no now, that it will never be added, whatever content someone is asking for

I know it would be complicated to do, but it would be nice if they were implemented, as decorative elements, skeletons of dinosaurs. Something like that

Or posters with the information of the dinosaurs (length, height, weight and period in which they lived). Something like that
