Remove Scientists From The Game

Remove? No. Improve? Definitely.
Take away the new for a scientist for selling fossils and make sending them on expeditions optional but always yields better results.
Remove rest costs.
Add the option to have a scientist permanently located somewhere if they specialise in that area (for example the veterinary building for those with the faster treatment perk)
Remove the skill cap so we can train them to fit the jobs we need them to do instead of having to fire one to fill up space when their skills become obsolete. Have all scientists have a maximum of 25 points across all skills with specialists getting an extra 5 maximum in their specialisation only and generalists getting an extra 1 for each skill.

The scientists are a fundamental part of how this game works. If you don't like that system, you're basically just saying you don't like how this game works. You're free to not like that part of the game. But it's highly unlikely that the devs are going to completely restructure how the game works and go back to how it was in the old game. It would not make any sense to do that.

Personally I quite like the scientists system so far. It actually requires a bit of thinking now instead of mindlessly clicking through a bunch of stuff. I also like that they are part of the sandbox mode. Makes it a lot more fun imo.

Only aspect I am willing to concede is that you shouldn't need scientists for Sandbox, for everything else its all huge exaggeration. This is the phenomenon I always find weird about communities surrounding games, they hold contradictory positions and there are always going to be people upset with a decision regardless. People want deeper management and at the same time they don't like it when they get it because it involves some thought and effort. If you try to play JWE2 like JWE, then you are going to have a bad time because you can't just set and forget your scientists.

If you actually use some foreplanning you can get a jump on the scientists before they turn into a bottleneck. Research and build a Staff Center early, research scientist training and if you hire specialized scientists it can pay dividends. The skills they have to start with are less important than their growth potential and prioritize the research you want and need ahead of time. It's not a massive undertaking or anything, its a tradeoff like any functional and decent system.

I think a lot of this is coming from people who aren't planning out ahead of time and are using 3x speed on time controls and rushing for Aviaries, Lagoons, and every species they can get theirs hands on ignoring the less visibility stimulating research. Time is a precious resource in itself, use it wisely otherwise you are going to feel like you are just babysitting your staff. More than anything, relax, its a game just take some time to enjoy it. If you don't enjoy it, that's fine, maybe this type of game isn't for you, try another game or genre that better suits you.

Okay, to compromise. The game should get an update where everything in sandbox mode is unlocked and we don't need scientists in sandbox mode. That way so all you scientist lovers can keep the scientists and everyone who just want to have a great time can enjoy the creative freedom and not have to stress about getting it.

It seems like you do, since you're asking for most of the management aspect to be removed from the game.
I wanted the scientists removed, that is until I came up with a compromise. The game should be updated so that everything in sandbox mode is unlocked already so you guys can keep the scientists and players like me can just go and have a good time and not stress about micromanaging our way to towards what we want.

Better idea: here you go -

Save file with 100% unlocks, just download that and unlock everything

It's an interesting system and pretty integral to how the game runs right now. Takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get a rhythm for it, it's not so bad. I feel like maybe it could do with bit of tweaking. Like when resting them, the wait is a bit long and it definitely shouldn't cost 75k. They constantly drain money anyway, don't see why they get a 75k bonus just to sit with their feet up for a few days.

All scientists do is get in the way, hold you back and you need them for everything. All I want to be able to click on stuff and they go to work right away and you don't need to assign scientists every time you want to extract fosils, get stuff researched and release as many dinosaurs as you want.
I mean at least you dont have to send off loads of expeditions for fossils anymore. Seemed like that's all id be doing when playing challenge mode on jwe 1. You need way less fossils to complete a genome now.

I think you have to go.. Back in jwe1 were you belong :)
I love the Scientists and many people also. Its fresh and cool.
In sandbox its another story, and would not be bad to give you the choice to disable them there if you want.
It does need some improvements, however.
