I'd be way too distracted by all the flying pigs to remember to buy it!And if SQ42 is the best space ship game ever made ? You won't buy it ? If so, why ?
In all seriousness, in that extremely unlikely event, I'd wait until the price dropped to $10. Why?
- No matter how curious I may be about how the originally pitched insertion of your character into the Star Citizen game (it wasn't supposed to be stand-alone, remember), I still consider this whole affair to be an utterly unethical and particularly egregious abuse of the crowd funding model. I don't think such things should be rewarded financially, and there are an abundance of space ship games currently that offer similar features that don't reek of the stench of corruption.
- Even if it's the "best space ship game ever made," it's still a combat game. My interest in combat games waned a long time a go. The best space ship game I've ever played, Kerbal Space Program, didn't any combat in it, and it was glorious. These days, I generally view combat, especially twitch combat, to be something endured at best, a completely unwanted feature at worst.
- It isn't an open-world game, but a choose your own adventure style interactive movie that is occasionally interrupted by gameplay. Such things were novel back in the early 90's, but as computer technology advanced, so did my desire to weave my own narrative in a fictional universe, as opposed to being railroaded down some fixed, or even branching, plotline.
