Well, I can kind of see their complaints. As far as the engineering "grind" goes, experimentals are the least offensive part. They only take a handful of materials and don't require multiple pulls of the slot machine handle.

but as far as lore and game consistency go, they're the most offensive part.
 
I can't say I'll lose any sleep over not being able to get three extra light-years out of an fsd. Anything above 60ly is a bonus for me.
Ironically I wasn't overly pushed about the 6A, but not being able to do it to the 3A I was going to install on my bubble Courier and the 4A on my mats gathering Cobra IV cheeses me off. Totally agree that 71ly vs 74ly on my Exploraconda is more or less irrelevant, but the few extra on ships that are maxed out at 34 would have helped.
