730 ls vs. 32k ls. Mats that don't even require cargo rack vs commodities. Rewards - 18 milions vs. 72 milions at the same tier. Competitive you say? Somehow I look at those numbers - and I don't see it.
Ok. At start I thought, that is is breaking scrivs's legs too, but after some time...
Who care distance to station in era of carriers

You know, that you could jump with your carrier to any station, and load it with few ultra short cruises, like "engage cruise...5s later...drop), with some coop with other people you could repeat it in CG system (or just jump to secondary star)
Go to system A
Jump as close to station, as you can.
Loads with 4mm cruise.
Jump to B system.
Jump close to station (maybe not station...but secondary star maybe?)
Unload with 4mm cruise.
After 1 day hand of god added unlimited supply ("few" stations with millions supply)
So we had 4mm vs 730ls
But if we ignore whole "we are good guys, freedom for some random ship in videogame" stuff.
Possibility to trade with help of carriers
Better profit (yes, better, add to bonus from trade money from regular trade)
More people
And also...it is only my opinion, because for me relog farm is poop, and trade is booooring- during trade, you could use assist, docking computer, and watch movie. Meanwhile relog farm require log in, target, scan, log out, repeat for hour, so it draw more attention, so you have less "space" for watching movies

Meanwhile FC owners had even better times! They could just jump, set buy/sell orders, and wait for unloads, so huge help in CG without trucking
Are we sure, that it was biased CG, and that is was bias in favour of orion?
PS: players again made choice.
They again picked status quo (at least, untill we will find dredger without crew, and data core after few weeks, but it will be frontier's story, not players choice)
