Yep, that's how i like me sprouts. I can't eat them when they're too hard.
Might be something to do with the "button mushroom" incident when i was about 10 though. I tried to bite on one and it flew down the back of my throat and choked me. Lucky my parents were handy.
Haven't eaten them since... nasty l'il things.
This is why Fray Bentos comes in a tin. Its not because its awful (according to some) but to prevent pests spoiling its delicious innards.
As an aside, have you tried natural tricks like marrigolds, low barriers (for whitefly) and co-planting (i.e. some veg grow best separated out, such as onions)?

Speak for yourself. I had a remarkable Bentos Bush harvest this year.
The chicken and mushroom ones did nothing but the steak and ale loves my type of soil.

Snowing quite hard here this morning and sticking too. And I'm off to Sainsburys, attired suitably for a polar expedition.
Well snow is falling here in central Franceland, I have coffee, Lego and later be having a full roast dinner as well as a crackling fire.
Not to mention I still have my emergency Fray Bentos, two jars of Marmite and Baileys.

Its a first word crisis really. Without said pins I can't bolt my shiz together while I have loads of the wobbly grey ones.
