State of the Game

The afternoon double feature matinee will begin in the rec room shortly you may pick up your chris lee/ Rasputin novelty beard (should you wish to disguise yourself from the forces of evil) at the popcorn table.

to me it is the discrepancy between what I see and what my body feels (resp. doesn't feel at the same time), which is causing my stomach to rebel. I can keep my balance standing, I don't have the issue with getting off-balance, but my stomach is not liking it at all and just after a few minutes playing I feel so sick that it is no fun anymore
I never had an issue with that, but then again I never had an issue with motion sickness either. To the point I was nodding off on a fairgrounds ride (I was very tired and perhaps a little bit tipsy). My main gripe with VR is having to drink everything with a straw, which seems very high-schoolish in many instances.

Meanwhile, in other news, Buffy is on Disney+. I wonder if that series has aged well? I wonder if it is the infamous widescreen version or if they stayed faithful to the 4:3 format?

I have in the past felt a bit mischievous inviting guests over to watch The Shining and keeping it in 4:3 despite the widescreen home cinema setup.

it holds up fine. rewatch that series every year at least. it's been available on hulu or maybe netflix for a while And i think it's the widescreen. I dont think anyone streams the 4:3.

For a change it wasn't meant to be derisory I just wasn't keeping up with the thread moaning so I left it there for whoever needed my soon to be trademarked TTE.

I didn't mean it as a criticism - I just found it funny!

Ender (being normal) is a big fan, so I imagine he will critique its awesomeness.

Oh...

The widescreen box set was heavily criticised for being a sloppy affair - it is possible to see technicians and equipment in the backgrounds, and the edges of sets, at the edges at times. Which is why I never bought that particular box set despite being a huge Buffy fan and devastated when my ex-wife left with both my Buffy DVD set and my Land of the Lost box set.

At least she left my Star Trek TNG box set (the old lunch-box looking one) and my Star Wars originals (Han shot first).

I only have "Fray", the futuristic Slayer thingy. Never been big on spinoffs.

:D S
and i have the entire series hd encoding just in case my subscribed streaming services lose the rights. Can't trust studios these days. Hundreds of GB's well spent.

Fray makes a return appearance in i think season 11. Spike becomes captain to an alien space ship. The series thru to season 12 was pretty good.

The reboot isn't bad either.
