audience pandering nonsense. the vampire is obviously into kids so red flag times a billion. The wolf would be scoring all the time (probably with other wolves) and would have to exert no effort to do so, so the idea that this girl would register at all in his teens is as unlikely as this girl getting either one to look at her in a sea of far more outgoing and approachable people with less resting b-face. But that's the point because that's who it's written for. But man... it's worse than trying to spin a kidnapper - kidnapee love story as positive. At least that's plausible. Their McGuffin in twilight is that she smells weird. That's her answer for why these guys become interested in her. and people ate that crap up and made movies from it.

a good reverse herem story makes the central woman at least plausibly put in such a situation - even if relying on various tropes. i've never read one where every aspect of her screams 'who cares" or "leave me alone" but they just can't help themselves because she has a smell.

It's probably just that for *everything else it's so much quicker to pitch, so the comparison does a brain-thing and makes it seem faster.

really depends on where the next jump is. steer in that direction with the star in the middle... however that turns out is how i'll be scooping. just let the scoop rate tell you when to level off to the horizon.
