No, Ratty used feet and inches. Rubbernuke's original post which Ratty's was a reply to (and to which I was referring to in my post) used centimetres. But as you say, let's not get pedantic. Especially when you're wrong :p

There's a deep fake for voices that they're using commercially and i'm sure there will be some public one created at some point if not already. You just need a sample of the person's voice you want to copy and then it'll say whatever you want in the same voice.

This would be awesome :)

Happy to provide my voice to my posts (for a small fee of course). Of course in RL i tend to use a lot of naughty words that begin with F or C which non aussies tend to find offensive, but in space no one can hear you swear.

On a sidenote I recently was in a forum where the f and c words were allowed but the word Covid was censored :) Noticed it on some meme and twitter quote sites as well, naughty words are fine, covid is censored (yeap they are american sites... gotta love em... apparently)

I mean, not the ones that are shooting each other in schools, obviously. But definitely the other ones, THINK OF THEM DAMN YOU!

but the covid protection is for the adults. kids aren't the ones getting into fist fights with flight attendants and yelling at businesses for their right to breath heavy on and around everyone. It's the adults we must protect. It's always the adults. So fragile and quick to frighten.

I work in a servo (gas station) and I assure you my faith in humanity is at all time low. I have been sworn at, threatened, spat at, coughed at and lectured amongst other things. I hate people now.

The most important 3 words in America are 'freedom', 'constitution' and 'socialism'.
Sadly around half the population doesn't understand what any of them mean.

much like elite, the population here is a mixture and isn't on the same page for how the game should be played. So there's either lots of in-fighting or pretending like the other people dont matter/exist (or they're always afraid the other people will get their way and they wont be able to play the game they want) and it's unlikely the people/thing/universe that made the game is/are going to pick a side.

And speaking of star trek Discovery. Why would tilly volunteer to run to save her crew? She knows she's not a runner. The audience knows she's not a runner. She's among other people who would obviously be better runners. She's not going be able to outrun anything so it's not a noble sacrifice because that thing is just going to immediately go after her crew anyway. What was the thought process there? Hopefully she teaches her students that heroic actions are only heroic when they at least have the chance to succeed. cuz her death would have literally been laughable comical. i half expected someone to go "Really?" after she made the statement.
