Downunder pack

To fill the remaining slots for the oceanic region. Here are the ones I think we'll fit. This would be an 8 pack since there had already been themed items released.

I really wanted to at the platypus as it is my fav Aussie animal, however I went for the Perentie because of a lack of reptile habitats, I would be totally ok with a platypus instead of Perentie.

I think the same! An Oceania Animal Pack would be great! Europe and North America added many animals we wanted from the old and new world. But Oceania really needs more love!
Mine ones for an animal pack are similar to yours but some are different
  • Emu
  • Wombat
  • Platypus
  • Kiwi
  • Tasmanian Devil
  • Echidna
  • Goodsfellow Tree Kangaroo
  • Clamidosaur for Terrarium

I would sign this! These would also be my choices

I'd totally be happy with replacing the Perentie for platypus tbh.

Yeah I'd like this. Australia could easily do with another pack, more than any other continent (though non-Southeast Asia and South America could probably do with another one too, but not as much).

For me, there's like 7 habitat animals I really want, but as long as we got the Wombat and Emu I'd be okay. I know the Tasmanian Devil is highly requested and they're on my meta wish submission, but the Wombat and Emu are in my top 10, Tasmanian Devil's a little lower.

Love this! Better the Tuatara than the Clamidosaur.

I think Oceania, South America and Eurasia really needs animal packs. Tasmanian Devil, Im not sure, but it can work too in an Endangered Species Animal pack

Mine would be a little different, but I would sign yours any day

Emu
Tasmanian Devil
Australian Pelican
Common Wombat
Kiwi ( the most common species )
Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo
Bennet's Wallaby
Frill Necked Lizard (E)

I would also add the tuatara as the exhibit animal. I think an Oceania animal pack would be excellent and far from unlikely.
In one way I'd go for the thorny Devil but in the other, I see your point, getting something from NZ would be nice.

I should add the Frilled Necked Lizard to my list, I don't want it to be an exhibit, if we got that I would need it's running/frill flapping animations.

Emu

Wombat

Tasmanian devil

Tree kangaroo

Platypus

Echidna

Red necked Wallaby

Yellow footed rock wallaby

Brushtail opossum

Bear cuscus

Kiwi

As an Aussie I would actually be upset if the Pelican was added over a lyrebird. The Pelican is not seen as an emblem of Australia, while the lyrebird is on our 10c coin.

If there was a decision to not add the surrounding islands animals, and another bird was an option I would really hope the lyrebird would be picked and not the Pelican.

Lyrebird could use peafowl rig, it could actually work, I guess I just never thought of it before. Tell me, in Aussie zoos are Lyrebird kept in aviarys or they can be held open ?
Lyrebird are predominantly a ground bird species, but are kept in walk through aviary in Australia. They only fly to roost in trees at night then return to the ground.

One particular notable lyrebird is echo who lives at Taronga zoo who has taken to imitating babies crying as part of its song repertoire.

Speaking as a New Zealander, including the North Island brown kiwi as a habitat animal and then the tuatara as an exhibit animal would effectively be enough to "complete" New Zealand for the game. Those two animals alone are pretty much the entire international representation of our endemic fauna (well, aside from the kea, but since we don't have flying birds yet they're excluded), so it would work perfectly.

For me an Oceania Animal Pack is pretty much the same as what others have listed;
  • Tasmanian devil.
  • Emu.
Those two should have been in the Australia Pack instead of the dingo and cassowary, IMO.
  • Common wombat.
  • Bennett's wallaby (the most common wallaby in zoos).
  • Goodfellow's tree kangaroo.
  • Eastern quoll.
  • Little blue penguin (this covers both Australia and New Zealand, so a great choice).
  • Tuatara (E).

I'd also take the numbat, brush-tailed possum, brolga, magpie goose, or Cape Barren goose.
