Star catalogue not finding stars

smojai yk-p d5-53 is the only one I remember, only because I wrote it down. I am using OBAFGKM filters only.

Ok after some experimentation I managed to reproduce this issue, it occurs only when I am landed on a planet!

This is probably why the rest of us can't reproduce it, we are all trying while in space, but if you land on a planet the search doesn't reliably work, unless as suggested by the OP you deliberately select a star in the galaxy map.

So OP, do you often search when landed on planets? Because that's the only way so far I have found to get it to misbehave.

Not often but sometimes after I grab a first footfall or explore an interesting planet. But now that you mention it.. it isn't quite as random. It only starts happening if I do search for stars while landed before takeoff. But, it continues to happen in space after that for the rest of the session. If I spend an entire session without doing a planetside search it never acts up. Very anecdotal but that's what seems to happen anyway.

We need a few more people to test this behaviour, as you say anecdotal at the moment, but if it is reliably reproducible by others then it becomes data that's worth pursuing.
