I was doing a covert theft mission to unlock an engineer. Everything went well, I got in, got the item, and got out of the building. As I ran outside, did I want to jump over the fence straight in front of me, but then a guard I didn't see targeted me for a security scan. As you likely know, once somebody has been targeted for a security scan, must they halt all of their movements until the scan is completed. Me being in the middle of a jump was completely unable to stop. So this immediately triggered a hostile response before I could even react to what happened in the first place.
So now, I got a fine for not being able to do something, my mission was failed, and the entire settlement was out for my blood.
When the player is targeted for these scans, should the player be given 2 seconds to halt all input, and movement in the air should be ignored.
The player should also be able to close the distance to the guard who is wanting to scan them, so they don't have to wait over half a minute while the guard slowly walks around half the building to get around the fence and to the player.
