What's planned for jwe2 this year?

In my opinion, apart from a Dominion DLC, we don't need new animals as of now. WE NEED QUALITY OF LIFE CHANGES. As what everyone have already mentioned countless times here and in the 'ideas and request' page.

With regards to the CC stuff, I don't think it'll be appearing anytime soon. They mainly base JWE with the films and books.
Exactly!

Hey man I read your previous comment about CC. I agree with you totally. Season 1 I only watched 3 episodes and couldn't really get into the show. Then I was surprised it got a 2nd and 3rd season. I was thinking do people die in this series? Bcoz how come these kids face all types of carnivores but escaped? It can only be because of plot armor really. When you read the novels and watched the films people die in this franchise. 😒😒😒 Can't imagine adding CC stuff to JWE.

The robots which are arguably the most realistic addition to this franchise, appearing to be a more advanced version of the Boston Dynamics Spot:

The BRAD's also fit very well within Michael Crichton's theme on the over-reliance on advanced, automated technology and minimal staff. We see Dr. Turner and Kash frustrations with them when they don’t work as they should.

They don’t always leave unharmed either physically or mentally speaking, e.g. Darius, Ben and Yasmina.

When the main franchise itself is adding (a few) Paleozoic and Cenozoic creatures in the television series and the newest film, such as Lystrosaurus, it’s not unreasonable for people to ask for said creatures and few others to be added to this game. You can’t just fob them off based on some petty dislike for the show or that the game should only use animals from the Mesozoic era.
Let's consider that my opinion is unpopular to some people, anyway, usually the audience that enjoys CC is a younger audience of this newer generation, I understand. But regardless of accuracy or inaccuracy, I think we can agree that JW's focus is really Mesozoic's animals and that every old JP fan would like to see more realistic dinosaurs in behavior, animations. New mechanics should be the focus.

If CC content is added in the future, it should just be new dinosaurs. But then, we would fall again into the question "we already have many species"new animals are welcome, but new mechanics and improvements should be the focus, so players could have a better gaming experience, but I believe i understood what I meant

That's my concern! 😬

I do recommend you watch the rest of the first season, the first three episodes are admittedly a little slow but they were vital to establish the characters. From episode 4 onwards until the end, the rest of the season takes place in the Indominus rex Incident and gains quite a significant body count.

If CC content is to be added in the future, it shouldn’t just be the new dinosaurs. The content that Camp Cretaceous could provide to the game goes far beyond new animals, it is truly vast:

New animals

Monolophosaurus
Scorpius rex
Smilodon
Spinoceratops
Woolly Mammoth*

*
A bit of a stretch as it wasn’t seen alive, but considering how it was Dr. Wu's lab it’s very likely that Mammoth DNA was being extracted in Jurassic World.

New animations

Escaped pterosaurs will now attack the monorail if you have it in your parks. Would add additional tension and action for a pterosaur breakout. Can you tranquillize all of the pterosaurs before it causes your monorail to derail?

New buildings

Camp Cretaceous Viewing Gallery*
Camp Cretaceous Viewing Platform/Zip-line
Gondola Lift
Mantah Corp. Island Complex/Hotel
River Adventure
Treetop Hotel

* This attraction wasn’t in the show, but it would be needed as an option similar to how all the other eras have their own viewing gallery.

New decorations

Camp Cretaceous Gates

New maps

Isla Nublar: Camp Cretaceous
Mantah Corp. Island Desert biome
Mantah Corp. Island Polar biome
Mantah Corp. Island Temperate biome
Mantah Corp. Island Tropical biome

New skins

Animal skins

Ankylosaurus - Bumpy
Baryonyx - Chaos
Baryonyx - Grim
Baryonyx - Limbo
Carnotaurus - Toro
Ouranosaurus - Camp Cretaceous
Parasaurolophus - Bioluminescent
Tyrannosaurus rex - Big Eatie
Tyrannosaurus rex - Little Eatie

Building Skins

Camp Cretaceous Building Style - Small, medium, large
Camp Cretaceous Entrance Style - Small, medium, large

Ranger Teams

Camp Cretaceous 4X4
Camp Cretaceous 6X6
Jurassic World 4X4
Mantah Corp. BRAD

New vegetation

Icebergs
Ice rocks
Red grass

Ehhh.... just watch all 4 seasons instead 3 episodes of season 1 ....lol.
A lot of people died in this 4 seasons ... just like in the Movies!
Aaaaand, just like in the movies, somehow all kids survived till now ;) ! Or have you ever seen a Child/ Kid die in ANY Jurassic Park or Jurassic World Movie ?
Have a nice day

Movies? Well no one died at least not on screen. But the kid in TLW who was attacked by compys might have. It's not mentioned though. In the novel a baby was eaten by compys. But that's besides the point. I was never excited about Camp Cretaceous. First 3 eps were enough, it felt more like a fanfic made for kids. People actually died? Cool then. It's good tho that they expanded on the lore but it'll never really be the same as the OG novels and trilogy. If people enjoy that then good. To each their own. Have a nice day too. 😉

“A few weeks ago, a British family on a yacht cruise stumbled across the island and their wee girl was injured. She's fine.”
John Hammond, The Lost World

The girl survived, she didn’t die.

And I may be asking in vain, but please, I implore at least give the rest of the first season a chance. The tone for the rest of the season changes significantly when compared to the first three episodes, the show's body count rises and the characters do struggle over the course of JW's events both physically and mentally.

Yes it is true what you said, our criticism is this new childish atmosphere that CC has, although the little girl has not died in TLW, the context of the scene is heavy and more tense, and passes a message: do not underestimate a dinosaur for being small, the Compsognathus can cause a huge damage and large numbers. Well, dinosaurs are presented in a more threatening way. While we may question some dinosaur behaviors seen in the franchise, JP from the beginning showed dinosaurs as unpredictable and dangerous creatures. I'm thinking, how Indominus rex failed to kill these teens!? No need to show the scene of death of course, visibly it would be heavy, but all children survived by pure protagonism, the plot is being forced

My criticism extends to BABR as well. How a small child scares away an adult Allosaurus by hitting his head accurately with a crossbow shot!!?? That's insulting the intelligence of the public

You wanna talk about forced plot and kids surviving certain death? Let's talk about how Lex and Grant survived coming face to face with a T-Rex, an animal that should have been able to smell them even if it couldn't see them... or the Kirby kid lasting months on his own, but adults are dead within minutes of setting foot on the island. It's just another one of those things JP from the beginning showed; all of the movies are guilty of it... adults drop like flies, but somehow, no matter how dangerous the situation is for the kids, they're always fine... it's just more noticeable now because the CC kids are the stars, not the sidekicks...

Also, doesn't violently killing kids, even an implied violent death, usually push up the age rating? Plus, killing the kids in this case would have ended the show, so... yeah... they're gonna force it for that fact alone...

She shot the thing in the head... would you so inclined to pick a fight with an arrow sticking out of your face?! Also, if we're gonna call them dangerous and unpredictable then doesn't that mean doing things you personally wouldn't expect... which is apparently running after getting an arrow implanted into their skull? Or are you suggesting it's weird that the kid could use the crossbow effectively... after it was stated she knew how to use it?

And... insulting to the intelligence of the public? Erm... yeah... speaking of things JP from the beginning showed...

1. Based on what they said in their post, Hououin Kyoma assumed that the kid in the beginning of TLW died, when in reality there was dialogue in both the final cut of the film and a deleted that explicitly stated she survived. I was only correcting them, your rant is completely irrelevant and out of left field to the current conversation.

2. When the child, which the short film explicitly states was taught by her neighbouring camper how to fire his double-firing crossbow, fired at the Allosaurus, she had a horizontal view of the dinosaur. Anyone taught to fire with a crossbow with that target view of the Allosaurus, would be able to accurately shoot at it’s massive head, particularly even more likely to hit the intended target when the dinosaur is shown to be completely distracted by the parents.

Alright guys we've strayed off topic. But I have given CC a try again even though I'm at work. Lol.. But I've watched until Ep 7. Then I've read and watched some comments and reviews on reddit and on youtube. Here's my take since it is canon to the JP franchise and lore. Though personally I don't really like it much, it is fun to watch. Like the animations of the dinosaurs and it offers a different point of view on certain locations and events. It's like Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. This is the best way I can put it. It's there. It's canon. But I'm not feeling it. 😂😂😂 But i will try and watch the later parts.

With regards to the kids always surviving compared to their movie counterparts.. I mean Kirby survived Isla Sorna. I read the movie tie-in novel "Survivor". But the way it was represented. It's more in a dark or gritty way. CC of course you know they're gonna survive coz they're the main stars. Lol Kirby was attacked by Pteranodons. Tim was electrocuted. That girl was attacked by compys. CC's kids survive an Indominus and Mosasaurus encounter... Because plot armor GG. In short CC is a tv show made for kids. Adults can enjoy. Sure.

Going back to the topic I dont think mammals are gonna be a DLC in JWE2. There's a game Prehistoric Kingdom for that... But I would love the zipline or new attractions. 😏

As a matter of fact, that's exactly what Scott Kreamer of the show's production team confirmed to have taken inspiration from for the BRADs after some hesitation against adding them. But those things are incredibly expensive to do, which is why I said in my CC thread, with both riches and will, anything is possible, and that includes the Boston Dynamic robots.

I have a right to have my opinion even if it's unpopular. I don't have to like CC, for me that really sucks. And it's okay, if you like it all right, but I don't like this cartoon. But I respect people who like CC, it's their right, but I'm also not obliged to like CC and I'm not rude so it's just my opinion lol.

Considering only the films and books were considered part of any sort of true canon prior to CC (the game is considered soft canon and it only barely factors into anything) saying they base it mainly on films and books is... well, duh? Of course there's no precedence for anything else, what other sort of canon sources did they have to work with? And FYI, just because there is no precedence for it happening doesn't mean it won't happen...

Alright guys we've strayed off topic.
To be fair, the topic is... strange. I mean, are we suppose to be giving our ideas? Our suggestions? Were they asking the people at Frontier about what they were working on? It's a vague question with no real answers...

Well this thread got derailed immediately because of rude people, including the O.P.
Here at the Forum the conversations are usually good and fun, but please understand that disagreements will always exist, and I have nothing against people here, I'm just leaving my criticisms about the franchise, and I'm not politically correct so even if some of my words can be harsh, don't take it personally, it's good to talk to everyone here! Have a nice week!

BABR: Okay, a crossbow can really hurt a dinosaur's head, but considering the age and size of the child, what are the chances of her knowing how to handle a crossbow properly? And beyond, shoot accurately. Remember, she fired more than one arrow. It really was a very forced thing

Better than a teenager successfully performing gymnastics on a set of random old pipes, kicking a Jurassic Raptor out a wall and killing it with a conveniently located patch of spikes? Better than finding a random 50ft pit in the exact same spot (or even within dangerously close proximity to where) your multi-million dollar star attraction was standing only minutes earlier? ...I'm sure I can go on... the point is even if you are right, this is nothing new to the series...
