Suicide in Colonia?

So i decided to fly out to colonia, currently im about 7k ly left in my journey.
i really do not want to fly back haha, is it possible to sell my ship there and self destruct in a sidewinder? The goal is to get the fatty CR from the data and engineer my thrusters which i might sell as well, depending on the shipping time.

Yep, it's called Suicide-winder.
You sell your data, do your thing, when you are ready, store you ship if you want to keep it, then buy a sidewinder, set to detonate and on the rebuy screen, select the free ship back in the bubble.
Now you need to have your other ship flown back, which you can do via the shipyard. It will take a day or so though. plus it will cost a fair bit too.

I've done it myself, doing the jump honk scoop just isn't that fun.

Alternatively you can hitch a ride on a carrier. They are going back and forth from colonia every day or two, check reddit or so for the departures. This will take you a day or two as well, but it won't cost you an arm and a leg.

A little less than 70 hours actually, so closer to half a week. And the transfer costs will be in the same ballpark as the total value of the ship you're moving. If you're hoping to move ships and not just yourself, probably better off to hitch a ride on a carrier.

Thank you :)
Last time I've done it, i placed the shipping order for my Anaconda and then went mining. Eventually it arrived at my carrier.

Probably the best option is to park your ship on a carrier and then take the sidewinder if that's the way you're going.
Some enterprising carrier owner probably sells sidewinders and has a cartographic office.

Try a different route back home if you ever go again.
Ive just been up there myself to unlock the foot engineers (currently 33 jumps left till im back in the bubble)
Having spent most of my time exploring on my FC where i can take a break by doing mining it was a bit of a shock treking up there even in my fav ship the Beluga.
On the way up i visited all the new megaships, on the way back i hugged Odins and then the Norma Arm, getting a nice first Disco on a 10139 million year old Black hole and a few twin Neutron star systems.

Point being i think actually going somewhere (a set route) can drive you mad, taking your time and seeing it as an exploration back makes it a bit easier.
