Update 10 - Odyssey and Horizons

I second this issue - for me, on landing and collecting my first material, when I go to get a second material it just says "Material Acquired" when the cargo scoop is deployed. It is then like the cargo scoop is not deployed, and the material is kicked away if I get too close with the wheels or it disappears entirely. I have checked the health of my scoop and haven't seen this behaviour before. This has happened since the update...

I spent 4 days flying around the crystal spike sites filling up with mats a couple of weeks ago, and while there were some issues even then with collecting, as long as you had your scoop down it picked up every time, I never lost a single mat, but now yes this is entirely different. I see they reworked some stuff with the mats collecting in the patch so I suspect they broke something during that process.

Please can you prioritize the game crash bug rather than a body...? Some of us can't even play.

Posting this here in case it helps with the issue, if you examine the screenshot you will see I have my scoop down, I have targeted the mat, in this case nickel, I have capacity as I only have 291 of 300, but as soon as I target the mat the message "material acquired" immediately pops up before you have a chance to grab it, you can then drive over the mat which will vanish as if it's scooped, but it never gets added to the inventory, I tried with about 6 lots of nicked and it just sat at 291.

I tried both geo and bio mats and different types of mats, they all behaved the same.

At least it wasn't subtracted from your storage ;) And based on your screenshot it is not nickel but some sort of material with anti-gravity properties.

I second this notion...as much as it is awesome that odyssey over time is being sorted with optimisation etc etc to bring it up to snuff...

I do feel CQC needs to be looked at in depth, the sheer lack of players in this mode is saddening and makes progressing incredibly difficult. It doesn't help that most players nowadays are new players who IMMEDIATELY leave upon seeing a high level player.

I'm sure there's others out there but I play CQC to refine my combat as well as ultimately earn the one permit I'm missing from all obtainable permits: the CQC home system which requires you to prestige just once.

Balance the Taipan to be in cqc, re-do the maps... Anything FDEV, it be nice to see a fresh lease of life and ultimately more players playing within CQC once more.
 
Still can't purchase all the ships from the FC like you should. Package of three for sale, all anyone can see is one. Saud kruger pack. Any FC owners still having this problem?

That should be 60 fps easy in station concourses - 50+ at minimum.

Just make sure Environment and Special FX are both medium.

Try the erase graphics settings I mentioned in my next reply if you haven't done so.

I can PM you a link to my Odyssey settings if you like. (I run it on a 1660ti and a 970, and have settings for each)
Unless you are CPU limited. I was experiencing this with a FX6350; load on each core was below 50%, clock rate was far below maximum. The CPU was basically almost idling, nothing that would indicate a CPU bottleneck, yet after I upgraded to something recent (i5-10500), the frame rates doubled.
(Calling this "CPU limited" seems to be the wrong term though, it rather looked like the algorithms made poor use of the resources.)
 
Can you try turning off the cache in the launcher, then try a verify? (I'm in-game right now, so verify isn't showing in this menu.)

I remember this was a fix back when update 1 or 2 came out.

I've already done this, the problem has only started since this patch dropped. I've verified through steam too and it still does it.
