Summary
System: Reorte
Station: Chariot of Rhea (Megaship, large pads available, 32 Ls from main star, 117.32 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Hand in Combat Bonds after fighting for Sirius Corporation in Conflict Zones with Reorte Mining Corporation
Time limit: 3rd February 3308 @ 06:00 UTC

Description
The Reorte Mining Coalition has declared its intent to remove the Sirius Corporation presence from its home system.
The megaship Chariot of Rhea arrived in Reorte as part of Sirius Corporation’s new role as the Alliance’s strategic defence partner. But the system’s controlling faction ordered it to withdraw. The megaship’s non-compliance has resulted in skirmishes targeting Sirius forces.
Captain Delfina Dominguez of the Sirius Navy, who commands the Chariot of Rhea released a statement:
Our presence is authorised by the military contract between Sirius Corporation and the Alliance Defence Force. If local forces continue to attack, we will have no option but to defend our assets.
The fighting is not believed to have reached surface level and is expected to remain a ship-based conflict.
To rally support from independent pilots, the Sirius Corporation will authorise a permit to the Sirius system for the Top 75% of supporters.
Prime Minister Edmund Mahon has ordered the Reorte Mining Coalition to cease hostilities immediately. However, Councillor Ainsley Niven – who represents Reorte in the Assembly and is a political supporter of Nakato Kaine – claims that the faction has the right to protect its territory, since it was not invited to ratify the defence pact.
The two factions have set out seven-day combat operations, which will begin on the 27th January 3308.
To be eligible for rewards you must sign up as an active participant before handing in Combat Bonds at Chariot of Rhea in the Reorte system.
Please note that if you have any crew members, a proportion of your combat bonds will be automatically assigned to them. These combat bonds will not count towards your personal contribution total, and your crew will receive the reward for these combat bonds when they are handed in. The proportion of combat bonds assigned to your crew will depend on their rank.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
  • Competing with Reorte Mining Coalition CG
  • Chariot of Rhea is orbiting planet 3
  • Megaship services: Commodities Market, Repair, Restock, Refuel

Please remember: Reorte is the home system of Faulcon DeLacy (and owners of Zorgon Peterson -> Panther Clipper).

So if we want the new cooperation between the Alliance and Sirius to produce new ships, I think Sirius should win this… 🤫😉
Sirius is shady dude. The attempt to buy out and force by violence of Ram tah to sell guardian tech to them, aligning with the Kumo Crew and possibly protecting the onion head drug trade. Not to mention the new strain of OH that occurred at that time , bringing The pirate Lord to the summit and now, without approval of the council, moving memberships ships into alliance space. Oh almost forgot how they helped Mahon win the election by subvertly delivering materials to build a station. No thargoids have attacked the alliance and I don't recall Sirius Corp leading the fray against the thaargoids threat anywhere else. They are shady as hell and need taken down a notch. Rumor has it that the club has personnel in high places in Sirius. Fight against this giant corporation. Look at the last time Corporations became so powerful as to have their own navies and armies. WWIII and almost destroyed Earth. Sirius is pushing for superpower status...and stepping on whoever gets in their way. Everything that glitters is not gold.

Some of what you say is true and I don't trust Sirius at all but this part is not. The Alliance has been attacked repeatedly as a result of pushing into Witch Head and Coalsack and for stealing the Thargoids' meta alloys which got them attacked in the first place.

Sirius has not led any anti Thargoid charges but it has poked its nose in. They hosted the summit for the superpowers to talk about the Thargoids and their subsidiary Sirius Atmospherics pushed into Coalsack with a story about terraforming ammonia worlds, which many believed to be a front for trying to capture a Thargoid for experimentation.

It's not quite as simple as "Evilcorp is bad, M'kay?"

That is true about witchhead and coalsack. It could be said that "poking around" might be them capitalizing on the situation for their own means. Both areas are outside the bubble and they didnt see a need to stop the thargoids during their "poking" around.

And did they use the summit just as a means to bring Archon there?

I’ve not seen any evidence yet that Sirius has been a real positive contributor to the galactic progress of man other than we see in Robigo, a terraformed planet and probe in Sothis. For the most part they seem as You say, quite shady.
Having done little to nothing in the grand scheme of things, they suddenly want to invest insane amounts of funds into buying ships for the alliance instead of themselves? There’s just something nefarious about that; and I’m all for keeping them in check where I can.
