I am. And are you sure you did not say that? I am struggling to find the link to your exact quote but I was able to find the re-quote from golgot. Judging from your previous leaks, i'd suppose "new devs" mean Turbulent. So, where is this lando replacement?
Maybe "soon" is in CIG terms, like Star Marine and the Squadron 42 video.

If it's not a "hello" it's my very stupid, uninformed opinion (and even the "hellos" are said by some very, very drunk people -- never, ever take them as gospel). Much like I think Jake is going to be smacked down for his absolutely dumb post, even if he was forced to write it.

And not a single leak of mine has ever turned out to be 100% true. I never claimed to be some kind of Star Citizen Whisperer with absolute accuracy; never, ever believe a man on the internet telling you sweet, unbelievable dreams.

Especially if he holds out his hand for money afterwards.

Dare I ask what's the current outrage?

But there still remains a very loud contingent of Roadmap watchers who see projections as promises. And their continued noise every time we shift deliverables has become a distraction both internally at CIG and within our community, as well as to prospective Star Citizen fans watching from the sidelines at our Open Development communications.

Basically, CIG is hinting at how (IIRC) their staff received death threats on Twitter or some other platform, and it shook up the employees so much that CIG had no choice but to remove the release view tracker just to get people to shut up and stop harassing their employees.
Then the whole community went up in arms that the release view is gone. Go figure.
I love a community that can connect the dots from A to B to Purple to Thursday and beyond.

In an attempt to shift gears:

Putting How Long Star Citizen has Been in Development Into Perspective

I mean, it might be easier to count console generations, how many times I've moved, or simply say "over a decade."

Also on a similar note, I just read this, and I don't know what to say;

One of the biggest features of Star Citizen is the ability for players to own a wide range of ships that are each unique in their appearance and functionality.

I am assuming the author does know that most of SC's ships are just pictures?

That is quite the article. Is it an article, actually? I'm not sure now.

It does not need to be nearly as big as Star Citizen's scale since that will be an MMO with thousands of players, but it should be similar on a microscopic level.
Right.

With the anticipation/skepticism that goes along with Bethesda games in general these days, maybe embracing "promises" is not the wisest strategy.

I don't know. I'd like to think the bigger studios are learning what not to do by watching CIG, while some smaller studios are like, "HECK YEAH! Star Citizen, but put everything on the blockchain (or the illusion thereof)!"

(Also, something tells me the author is either a backer, has friends who are backers, or just ran through the initial KS promise list.)

This guy understands game dev and building houses. Check mate CIG…

I did spot a theme though…

The Banu Merchantman was concepted and sold in, I believe, 2014. Here we are in 2022 and the community hopes to see the ship this year. The ship has missed at least one release date and your backers have been waiting for nearly 8 years to see something they paid real money for.

A community can only be sustained on dreams so long as the dream is definable and concrete progress is being made towards that dream.

Respectfully,
Banu
