I only saw Spectrum back when it was first starting up. Looked like a ripoff of Discord to me? Another 'never been done before' according to CIG, I'd imagine?Hey, come on over to Spectrum. Water's warm.
Do they have threads like this? Or do they have ones where folks comment on other games, like ED, etc? If so, which version are they up to, considering we're on version 12 here.
It was fun to watch his ED streams, but when I saw some rant post by him a while ago, that fun sorta went out the window. To me, it seemed like someone who had received an offer from someone else and was completely dismayed when that offer wasn't matched. A plus for SC, if my guess is right, since they'll get some good background stories set. And, those offers, etc, can change, depending on current situations etc. I've seen a few cases where after a bit of time, those offers become meaningless compared to the joy of being where you care about and things return to how they were, anyways.
They do have sub forums for other games and off-topic. Not that active. And mentioned ED in any sort of positive manner is a risky business.
Its not really like Discord though. Its still a basic forum, just with discord style emojis for expressing likes/dislikes and upvote buttons.
They also have a chat feature.
And of course there are parts of the forum you can only post in if you have given CIG a certain amount of money. Because that's how CIG roll.

It depends if they like you or not. Some of them can and do have a twisted sense of humour occasionally.
After a 24 hour banishment for repeatedly posting 'Off topic' material in testing chat, I returned to my old spectrum stomping ground to be greeted by questions from other regulars on where I had been. I replied in good humour that I had a welcome short break thanks to some helpful moderation...on which I was instantly banned for a further hour for 'Publically discussing Moderation actions'...with a PM'd smiley face emoji from [Deleted by Nightrider-CIG]...Bless

I think it is silly to ban those words.
They are very descriptive and get across quite a bit of meaning in a short phrase or word.
Also, a bunch of those search results are from chat which can go by somewhat fast. Have to have a moderator present to get nabbed.
And some of those results are from things that have been nuked. You find stuff in search results for threads that have been nuked for example.
As certain judge from Providence would say “Words are offensive but they do not constitute an offense”
That was a low effort joke on my part, but even if you remove the chat option from the search, you will find some that have not been nuked.
I guess is easier to add some javascript code into a page than implementing a real time chat/forum filter that would help enforce the rules you put in place…
But yeah, you got me there… it was a low effort joke… Mole’s anecdote is miles better
