Update on Communication

Lots of posts seem to be disappearing, so I suspect there are some bitter report-trigger-happy people here. And you have been very on topic mate.

I might not agree with all your posts, but the way stuff is removed with no notification seems a little..... Not a criticism of the mods at all, but just a sad state of affairs really.
I think it was the dastardly moderators trying to prevent us reaching tier 1 before the week was up!

But we have made it and get the double engineered post button, I'll be applying the anti stealth deletion experimental to mine.

So I've been writing my heart and soul out to have a meaningful discussion, while trying to stay on-topic, and it gets stealth-deleted without warning, in a thread about communication (or rather, lack of it) no less.

/slow golf clap

With apologies if this comment, in one about communication, is deemed "off-topic"

ObiW & me have a great communication history, divergent views on occasion, but generally very amicable. I too was carefully crafting responses to remain very polite and game (rather than poster) focused.

Maybe Frontier is saving all communications for the "Meet-Up" event? When it is set to take place again?

Cheers!

Any specific reason they'd cancel it? (You know, besides the obvious COVID excuse)
Speaking to my UK based colleagues, COVID doesn't seem to have been much of an issue for a while now, at least not in terms of people going back to BAU (as in, pub, live footy, etc. etc. no bother apart from ... getting Covid I suppose). So I think even if they wanted to they can't use that as an excuse anymore.

Less than 10 days for some proper communication to happend, then... one can only hope for this dream to come true!

Greetings Commanders,

I want to speak directly about the lack of official streams and reduced communications from our social channels since the start of 2022. I understand the concerns this has caused and hope this statement goes some way to alleviate them.

The whole team are excited to share all of the upcoming content for this year including new updates, content expansions and the next major phase in the ongoing narrative following the Azimuth Saga finale. Beyond this, we also look forward to sharing our new streaming format when the series returns as a weekly show. Changes will include new segments, year-round Twitch Drop campaigns and studio-quality production once we move back into the office.

However, there are several questions that must be answered internally to inform this communication plan. It is important to me that we address key subjects by priority and when we do that the information we provide is clear. The team and I are working incredibly hard behind the scenes to gather this information and provide these answers.

As always, the team and I are grateful for your patience and support while we wait for the opportunity to share all of the above with you. We will update you with more detail as soon as we can.

See you in the black o7.

Sad commentary from the community, but this is a bit of the pulse:

"Apart from Hotfixes, I cant believe how quiet FDEV are. Its like we are back in the old days of interacting with the community. I have a gut feeling something bad is probably around the corner for the game based of Art's very naff comms post."

"It’s a bit concerning as they were on a roll to rebuild the connection with the community after all those years of silence. They didn’t release a dev update nor said more on FC interiors so it’s appears we are sliding backwards."

"My suspicion is they are now working on console or have been the past 6 months and it’s what Arf alluded too, them waiting on final approval to talk about; or it’s cancelation."

"Im thinking latter. I suspect they are pulling the plug on EDO for consoles and trying to find the best way for the community to swallow that pill"

What say ye F-Dev?

Gotta say that if they cancel or even postpone it again... that would be a very bad decision!
No. I think the bad decision would be to attend such a (non)event. If there is no news/updates/road map/(insert your own here) prior to this event, what on earth will be enjoyable about the event?

I suspect that consoles might have a lot to do with it..

Everytime the CMs did communicate they were confronted with the question.. Even in threads about a new patch, which probably would have been better focused on bugs and issues, not the usual are we there yet..
